As a guy well into my 8th decade, a resident of Athens for 55 plus years, a graduate of UGA and retired employee of UGA, and a dedicated (my wife says "addicted") Dawg fan, the great sports journalist Bill King captured it all for me in his grand summary of this latest CFP championship. If people wonder what life can be as we all eventually head for the sunset, it can be pretty darn grand! Thank you, CKS and staff and thank you to this group of extremely dedicated young athletes for making one old guy verry happy.
Love the comment. My wife says the same thing about “addicted” and it seems the best remedy is more great DAWG seasons. Enjoy and Go DAWGS
We started out 2 years ago with a no name offense. Stetson Bennet, Ladd McConkey, A.D. Mitchell, Brock Bowers, Arian Smith. Now those guys are household names for UGA fans and the sports announcers and discerning CF fans all over.
The key ingredients we were missing were the right OC and a signal caller who just hates to lose! . CTM's play calling and scheme , a great O-Line, and of course a great defense lifted us up to new heights! . It takes a complete program in every phase but IMO CTM was the final missing piece. Remember the days of Chaney and Coley as OC's? Let's not, right? Go Dawgs!
Finally we had not 1 but 2 - 1,000 yard receivers. I expect we'll have 3 next season.
