- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

If losing any one player to injury (QB excluded) is enough to make you feel like that was the difference in winning or losing the game - the real question should be, did that team have enough depth? The answer is clearly, no.
The hit on the OS receiver was a legal hit. The fact that Day - at this point- is claiming otherwise, just shows he's a sore loser. Day might want to take a lesson from Alabama, as they've had the exact same excuse for their NC loss.
Better yet, Day and Saban should both learn something from Kirby Smart. Georgia has endured more than its fair share of receiver injuries over those same two years. Kirby had enough receiver depth to overcome the loss of any one receiver.
The team who has the most depth is the team who likely wins the National Championship. Pretty simple.
1000% correct. While the Alabama faithful continue to cry over losing a WR for part of the game, and are convinced that is the only reason they lost, they forget that two UGA Freshmen receivers were making touchdowns in the fourth quarter to help secure the win and the National Championship. That's why they lost. Depth!
GO DAWGS!
Yeah, and coaching. Like I've said before, if you're coaching the 2s and 3s and 4s like the 1s, they're gonna come out and play like they're lost. Kirby smart is doing it right. Do some of those fresh meat players come out and play like it, absolutely, but at least they're trying to play them. Not sit on their hands and make excuses about losing players.
Of the 3 possible commitments for UGA on Feb 1 the best possible and most valuable was ERIV. Building block commit to maintain the defensive standard that UGA has set. Hope it holds.
Funny how USCe and Clemson crow about "stealing" talent from GA. There is so much HS football talent in GA that there is no way that UGA can take even half of it. The fact that the UGA recruiting rankings (and CFBNC's) far outpace those of USCe and Clemson shows UGA is getting better prospects. GA is one of the top three states in the country for producing HS football talent. IF UGA takes the best of the '24 class from GA we may be looking at 2-3 more CFBC's over the next 5 years.
How old is DeAngelo Gibbs? I hope he gets a degree out of his time at UGA/TN/USCe to fall back on. Needless to say his CFB experience has not gone according to plan.
Ryan Day has lost to Michigan big, two years in a row. He doesn't need to come across as a cry baby. The hit was fair. He needs to have a conversation with the QB about tossing a ball up like a punt. Harrison can't waive a fair catch signal. He's going to get clobbered, and he did.
So, if we're going to leave the OSU game in the past, let's leave it in the past -- including responding to whatever Ryan Day says or thinks. We're the National Champions. Period. Moving on . . .
If the first Wednesday in February (aka National Signing Day) is now so inconsequential, why not simply abolish it and go with the December date as THE National Signing Day? The top players and coaches don't seem to care and, in fact, it probably works out better for them if they can get on campus in time for Spring practice.
