If one counts Texas in the SEC, (which they will be, next year), that's 4 of the top 5 teams being from the SEC. Let the "SEC is overrated!" crowd howl at that.🤣. Have to squeeze Ocryo State, in there, to build up the tears, for later in the year.

all sounds good until they meet up with an SEC team……only 1 win all-time versus the SEC (bowl games)…….Arkansas victory was vacated, total is only one.

Iron sharpens iron, you want to be the best…..you have to play the best, consistently.

Well, the good news for Dawg fans is that ESPN FPI also picked the Dawgs to finish 3rd behind Alabama and Ohio State last year in '22. In '21 they picked UGA to finish 7th behind Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson, Iowa State, Ohio State, and TAM. The one thing ESPN has shown is that they seem to have a bias built into their program which favors OSU and Alabama. They obviously had an extreme bias against Georgia, but a little of that has unwound after the back-to-back Nattys. They don't want to look flat out **** again.

What that "formula" doesn't account for is the Georgia culture, AKA Kirby effect... every bit as important as the other factors. Go Dawgs!

Haha. Ok. Where have I seen this before...

Except we're #1 in ESPN's Way Too Early Top 25. Where's the bias in that?

Why do I get the feeling that even if SB was returning UGA wouldn't be picked #1?

Only reasoning behind it that I see is, top 3 recruit well. But all 3 have unproven QBs. Guess UGAs is the least? Doubt that. If QB play was top determining factor, LSU would be tops. But he was also inconsistent. So just another tOSU/Bama bias. If Clemson hadn't got thumped by SC and Tennessee, sure they'd be up in the top 4 also.

Oh this ESPN FPI is a thing of beauty! It's better than roses on St. Valentine's Day, maybe even better than a brand new Lambo. Why? It's the greatest locker room material one can imagine. Kirby will use this #3 ranking to the hilt!

I honestly doubt this has anything to do with alleged "bias against Georgia." But I am confused by the fact that Georgia's behind OSU and Alabama. After all -- even though Georgia's losing a lot of talent -- it's returning considerably more than production than either OSU or Alabama.

I wonder why people bother with these things. They don't have that great a track record at predicting the way the season ends.
