Hard work and preparation equal good luck, to those who wish Bear good luck; he won't have to work as hard in the Pac 12 but he will never be an SEC All American. Truly his loss in the big picture....
The comments here are hilarious. Aesop wrote a fable about it, in which a fox who can’t reach a vine of grapes just knows they must be sour.
I was disappointed when I heard Bear entered the portal. Admit it, you were too.
Why does everyone just assume he’s leaving because he doesn’t want to “work” hard, or that he wants more NIL?
Maybe he had some other type of attitude problem and was confronted by a team leader about it, and maybe he and that player came to blows, and maybe that altercation exacerbated his bad attitude, and maybe the coaches were ok with him leaving as a result.
Wow. Not anything even remotely said about that. Comment should be removed from this article.
Anyways. Like someone else stated, he may have removed a problem from the roster. Just goes back to what Kirby said about the greener pastures. Just looks like the other transfer USC magically pulled off last year with the WR.
Excuse me? I'm not sure what this comment means but I have to guess it is a dig at the South. You do realize this is the University of GEORGIA playing in the SOUTHeastern Conference, don't you? The greatest school in the toughest conference so yeah, there is some pride here, in the state and the conference.
And no, I do NOT wish him well at another school. In his life, sure, good luck, I hope he earns his degree and makes a good living using it but I hope he regrets this decision every day for the rest of his life. I do not wish anything bad on him but yes, I hope he realizes what a terrible mistake he made when he jumped ship.
I get it when you are number 3 and just can't get past the studs in front of you because they are just better and will be there your entire career but this kid had everything he needed to be successful. I don't for a second buy the notion that his playing time would be limited UNLESS he came back expecting something based on the past and sat back and tried to coast. If that was the case, then he wasn't what we needed. If it was about money, it is not what we wanted.
I'm over it. He walked away from the opportunity to be a part of history. Best wishes to him.
Buh bye.
Your particular bias is showing.
In an ESPN article about him, he said UGA wanted him to be a third down player for pass rush, but he wants to be, and thinks he has the ability to be an every down player. Says he'll get that at USC.
Bear quote from ESPN:
""I feel as if there wasn't a significant amount of snaps [at Georgia]," Alexander said about why he entered the portal. "I was more of a pass-rush specialist in year one, so coming into the spring, I wanted to be in a position where I could show my versatility as a player. I felt like I wasn't able to do that at Georgia. I was a third-down specialist, and I'm more of a first-, second-down player. I can play every down."
By his own words, interpreting, the issue was others above him that he didn't want to fight through. (Plus the money probably.)
I couldn't care less about this selfish player. He supposedly got into a fight with team mates-NOT a team player. You need to cut out the cancer for the team to thrive.
@EricDawgs21, as an educated "Proud Southerner" you can take your Confederate comments and go join Bear somewhere else.
It's all about race with ERICDAWGS1.
