"Washington was sidelined last season after a head/neck injury suffered during spring drills on March 31, 2022, when Kirby Smart revealed a play left him face down on the TURN and in need of assistance leaving the field."

Perhaps Mike was still thinking about the Derby? Or the AI subbing in for Mike speaks real fast when auto dictating 😎

Good luck and good health to C.J. Washington as he moves forward.

All the best to the young man. I hope he'll be able to lead a productive life and if he can't play football again , I hope UGA will honor his scholarship.

I've actually felt like this was bound to happen. With no real update in the last couple of years since it happened, just waiting to see how this would turn out. If he isn't on roster, could he still get a medical scholarship? Does that count towards the limit?

@MikeGriffith not cj in the picture and that pic is after his injury.

Vote down? Nothing negative was said. And the MG comment is for clarification, someone else also used the same description and pic before. It is not washington, he is not that small. And the pic says Nov of 22, injury happened in March of 22. And no way Kirby is even letting him dress if he's wearing a neck brace.

Hate to see injuries happen to players. The young man has to do what's best for him. If he were to transfer, it probably wouldn't be a bad move on his part, since the LB position already has great depth. Best of luck in your future young man..GoDAWGS!

Do you realize you are the worst “writer” in the history of DN?

    That’s quite a distinction, Griffith.

I still have the tape saved of Paul roasting you over your take on the greatest coach in CFB last month. What a classic!

OK Mike, so what happened? Did CJ quite the team ? Why is he no longer on the roster? Is he still enrolled? Will he recover to ever play again? What are his plans? What exactly was the nature of his injury? I could go on but the point is your article could have stopped after the sentence.....CJ Washington is no longer on the roster.
