The only successful way to prevent field storming is for there to be a very visible security effort shown on the fringes of the field (dozens of officers and security personnel surrounding the field) along with consistent PA announcements towards the end of the game. Only then would it really deter fans from storming. Fines are worthless.
The 1995 Braves sure were on top of it. Police officers on horseback took out the legs of anyone who ran onto the field with long billy clubs, then they were cuffed and hauled off to jail.

That is correct as far as I can remember.... and what a glorious win that was -- breaking that long losing drought to UTjr!
But the greatest storming I can remember is when the entire team stormed the endzone in 2007 in Jacksonville after Knowshon's first touchdown run against UF..... Coach Richt lost control and it was marvelous!!!!
