Just days after Super Bowl loss, Nakobe Dean was back at Georgia working to finish his degree
Georgia fans already knew Nakobe Dean was built different. That was frequently on display during his stellar three-year run in Athens.

Players like Nakobe have set a standard at The University of Georgia that will hopefully never diminish but always rise. As long as Kirby Smart is HC, becoming and being a DGD will be the standard for all student athletes to meet.
Well said! A recent article on DAWGNATION said that an elite player being recruited was given the cold truth from Coach Shu and Smart - nothing was promised, and no NIL deals were given. The player said he was still serious about UGA because he knew he would get "developed there". The standard has been set. No fluff and no promises other than a good education on and off the field. AND of course a chance to play for the BACK to BACK college football champions! That's the Georgia way!
You can't help but to respect these young men, such as Nakobe, who return to earn their degrees. Football isn't forever, and those that earned that degree will always have that when the game is over..GoDAWGS!
Were he not the best linebacker in college football during his time at Georgia he’d probably already have said degree.
Please explain, Connor. There is some nuance that you need to provide.
Didn't Dean enter the draft after 3 years?
It’s always a nice look for the university when a player comes back to finish their degree. Maybe this helps balance the bad publicity from SBIV never getting his.
Thanks Nakobe!
Great to see him still keeping his eye on life beyond football. Dean is a DGD and wish him a long and healthy playing career and then the best of luck in his after football career.
Keep truckin Nakobe. Bulldog nation is proud of you!
