ATHENS — Julian Humphrey may not have been many people’s pick to emerge as a starting cornerback coming off the 2021 season. He redshirted in his first season on campus and entered spring behind Nyland Green and Daylen Everette on the depth chart.

Interesting that there was not (?) a depth chart article on Dawgnation prior to game 1. Possibly due to all the injuries.
Might be wise to hold Lassiter out another week or 2. CB should be in capable hands for the 1st 2 games with Green, Everette, Humphrey and Harris.
Speaking of depth charts, Saban has been taking some criticism for not releasing a depth chart prior to AL game 1. LOTS of commentary on it including Finebomb criticizing Saban of "bullying" the media. Pish Posh. Has absolutely nothing to do w/bullying. No one has apparently picked up on the real reason Saban hasn't released a depth chart. IF Saban released a depth chart he would have to identify his QB1. By NOT releasing a depth chart, Saban leaves week 2 opponant TX guessing who QB1 is until game time week 1. THAT prevents TX from having an extra week to prepare for running QB Milroe or passing QB Buchner/Simpson. Quite a benefit for AL to take away 1 week of preparation. Also suggests that Saban is concerned about being able to beat TX.
If Saban's Alabama doesn't get to the playoffs this year, he is done. He will be in a booth calling games or on Gameday. There, I said it.
I think he gets 2 more years to win it all. Then Schumann becomes coach.
