Well, Mr. Beck. you can now call me a prayer warrior! Enough said.
I’m trying to figure out exactly how i feel about Beck’s play. On one hand, you have the constant praise from Smart (which seems excessive) and the very conservative play of Beck. I may be overly concerned but it seems to me that he is playing scared - afraid he is going to make a mistake instead of trying to impose his will on the fame. I’m definitely not confident he could win the game if it was needed against a good opponent but I’m hoping he is still getting a better feel for the game.
Beck looked good to me. I thought he had a good day. No turnovers in a tight game with rain is a big positive. 75 percent completion rate I think. All good. Close to 300 yards again.
Thrilling game, but it shouldn't have been as much. Another lethargic start. Secondary looked absent in the first half, but dominant in the second. Beck played well. Running game was solid, #30 dominant. There will come a game when we will need a kicker. Don't remember who kicked off, but if it was Woodring, he definatley needs to spend some quality time with KB.
Bobo has to do a better job. First game I can remember when we didn't run even one play-action pass. NOT ONE. Beck has to improve his accuracy. Not sold on Beck vs the other two yet.
I thought all in all Beck did pretty good. Far from perfect but pretty good. Being contrasted by Rattler in the first half might have given a harsher impression of Beck. But Rattler is a seasoned veteran.
Where as Beck only his third game as a starter. Imagine if Rattler had UGA’s players ?? That’s scary to think of !! We need Ladd McConkey back to give Beck another true weapon and added comfort level as well. Go Dawgs !!
