I live about 20min away on the other side of the state line from where this kid is from. I did have my concerns because it was such a small high school program, but they did have some really good talent, and didn't know if the jump was going to be too big for him. I'm glad he continues to push through and earn a contributing role. These are the stories that need to be shared.

These new backers are plenty talented, for sure. But what was mind-boggling about Dean, Walker and Tindall (and Roquan Smith, for that matter) was their blazing speed... the way they recognized and closed was absolutely ridiculous. So far, that has yet to be replicated. Keep chopping, fellas. Go Dawgs!

He pressured Rattler into an incompletion but says the play "didn't end well for me" because he didn't get the sack.

A lot of players would call knocking down and blowing by an OT to terrorize the QB a success. I love that he's hungry and demanding more of himself.

The depth and quality we have of LBs and DBs this year is outstanding!

Absolutely true. Remember how stunned athletic QBs would look at Channing pursuit? They had to be thinking "this just ain't fair."

Glad Sorey stuck around. Nice to have some mature, more seasoned depth at ILB/OLB. His best chance to be developed is staying in the UGA system. Wonder if he will be back next year to continue development and if he can stay ahead of the freshmen?
