Missouri is the only team that matters right now. Glad to hear Walker say that. They have all the players, schemes, and coaching to take the dawgs down. Laser focus on planning and assignments.
I'd love to have an in-depth discussion with any number of CFP pundits on what goes into making the rankings. Does last year matter - no. Does UM scandal matter - not at this point. Does SOS matter - some. Does eye test matter - some. Does head-to-head matter - maybe/maybe not. Like guys on ESPN said last night, any of top 5 could have been number 1 as they all have significant factors in their favor. At the same time they all have significant flaws. It's all just for water cooler conversation at this point anyway.
The rankings played out just as I had predicted. The Committee showed the Dawgs respect by putting us at #2. We did not deserve #1.
We have the 6th toughest remaining schedule in the country. We just need to take care of business, and we'll end up where we need and want to be. If we don't perform...that's on us.
