Georgia gets statement win on Rocky Top, beats Tennessee 38-10
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Georgia got the decisive statement road win it had been lacking, overcoming Tennessee to become the first SEC team in history to record three straight 8-0 league marks.

How is this a statement win? The Dawgs did exactly what most sane people knew they would do. They spanked a horrible UT team that embarrasses the SEC almost every week. And their players showed typical Tennessee class by spitting in Bowers face. The only statement made is that UT and the state of Tennessee is made up of mostly classless, ignorant trash.
I agree with most everything you note, but a 28 point beat down of the number 18 ranked team on the road is a statement.
It was a 10.5 line. They didn't build the jewel of the desert on bad lines. Sane people thought it was going to be a closer game than it was.
Talk all the trash you want about Tennessee, but this was a great win.

This was definitely a statement win. UT is a solid team and Neyland is a very tough place to play especially is you let the Vols start running the game. DAWGS took the fans out of the game early and that made it much easier than it can be there. Tyree Smith had a tremendous play where he just smacked the blocker to the ground and ate the runner up. He is a great addition to that very solid DB group. Great win and each week is a testament to what KIrby has built and the coaches to coach them up. Go DAWGS
