So he lost with Buford and now can go a school of yesteryear while Kirby will continue to field the top CFB teams for years to come.
Great day to be a Dawg. Carson coming back.
He talks like he's been in love with Nebraska from day one. What a load of BS. Either his dad influenced the flip or money did. Or maybe he was just afraid of playing in the tough SEC. Good bye and good riddance. We'll be just fine without you.
Not concerned with him, more so will he try and lure any of our other premier recruits. If we can get a few portal position players and develop our young guns another year, I don’t think this flip hurts us at all.
Great point when you so accurately point out how his parents “enabled this degree of vacillation.” When my sons were being recruited to play college basketball I told them, “Once you tell a coach you are going to play for that school you will not be able to change your mind. Once you give your word, you will keep it.” Kids do what they’re taught by their parents. I honestly believe we did dodge a bullet. The character of your players is a huge factor. Dylan has showed us that there are serious character issues with him. I’m sure the coaches at the four high schools might have some insight.
I think it appropriate to add that Dylan is the product of his raising. I don’t blame him. I think his parents, especially his dad, are the problem. When you see kids with no sense of honor and integrity it is usually, not always, the product of their parents’ values.
Now I’m rooting even harder for Ryan P!!!
I had a lot to say, but considering the totality of the news, there’s not a lot to say. This decision was 100% based on Beck’s decision. If Raiola thought he was going to come in and start as a freshman—at UGA—he is either supremely delusional or extremely arrogant. The deeper issue is how this kid could trumpet the virtuosity of the Dawgs for so long and all of a sudden decide that’s not how he feels. I both believe in and love the lure of familial ties…but this guy is submarining his credibility, and, therefore, his future.
"The Good Life" at best 9 and 3 in a cupcake conference and could easily be7 and 5 ....if he stays "committed" with the Waffle House NIL deal, Chick-Fil-A has an idea for Waffle Frys!......In all seriousness, I do wish Dylan well and I'm prayin for a home and home with The Cornhuskers starting in 2025!
P/S.....apparently his stint at Buford introduced Dylan to "Big Boy Football" and he wanted none of it!
Hopefully Dylan will one day look back and see how he so poorly handled his high school career and how he wrongfully misled both OSU and UGA. He needs to examine this whole fiasco and learn from it. Unfortunately, he’ll have to do that on his own as it’s clear he has not been properly taught the importance of one’s word in the real world.
Kind of an 🍎and🍊 comparison, but I get the premise.
How can any school be jazzed over landing any recruit these days? Maybe you get a year out of them…maybe not. Maybe they see the field in that year…maybe not. Maybe you get two years and they play one. Maybe not. Who knows with things as they are now?
I would say you haven’t read a defense, switched protection, or run a play. You haven’t completed a pass. You haven’t led a drive. You haven’t converted a 3rd and 10 or a 4th and 1. And you sure as heck haven’t won anything. So don’t think we’re giving you anything. You have to work here to earn here.
@JMDDawg46 yes, that is spot on, that kid does not know the term of honoring a commitment. I thoroughly expect UGA to go out and get a portal QB, just saying.
Hope this is the last of his posts. Also hope UGA don’t re-recruit him if he goes into the portal. I’m ok with Brock leaving because he committed, graduated, and it just wasn’t good timing for him.
I just read ESPN's interview with Raiola. All of his reasons for committing to Nebraska were there before he committed to UGA. His rationale about Nebraska always being in his blood is weak at best. Was Nebraska in his blood when he committed to Ohio State. Doesn't seem like it. Was Nebraska in his blood when he committed and moved to Georgia. Doesn't seem like it.
I followed Raiola closely once he committed to the Dawgs. I kept expecting that he would bring along a couple of 5 star receivers and he tried, but never did. In fact, Ny Carr decomitted after a throwing session with Raiola.
I feel kinda bad for the kid. I moved around alot as a kid due to my father's job. Moving around as much as he has in high school had to be unsettling at best, if not damaging to his ability to form strong relationships. If he had come to UGA, who knows how long he would have stayed.
Looks like in Puglisi we have someone who really wants to be a Dawg, just like Carson.
