Final grades for Georgia football 2024 recruiting class
The letters of intent are in and Georgia’s signing class is complete. Georgia welcomed 28 members to the program on Wednesday, landing many of the top prospects in the country.

I get your point, but I'd give the QB room an A- and the WR room a B-.
As we know Kirby & Company haven't finished the drill yet. They're busy fishing in the portal pond.
In any case, it's a great class. Kirby & Company have done a stellar job (once again) and perhaps exceeded their previous (excellent) efforts.
Numerous competitive football programs would earn an A+ and have an over the moon fanbase for recruiting players less luminous than this class, don't you think?
Go, Dawgs!
As far as QBs go, we did get the PWO, Colter Ginn, out of Perry. He's rated a 3 star; however, he plays above his rating, at least from what I saw in the HS Playoffs. He has decent size, a strong arm, and seems to have a great attitude. Turned down scholarships from several Tier 2 D 1 teams to accept the PWO from Georgia. I don't think we need to sleep on this guy. Once the college-level strength and conditioning kick in and he learns under Beck and Stockton, he may follow the path of a former PWO, and that didn't turn out too shabby.
@NorthHallDawg
Is their video of him as a young boy saying he was going to play for Georgia? Deja'vu all over again!
Not to bad-mouth any player, much less a high school kid but I think we dodged a bullet when we saw that flip to Nebraska. I'm more than happy with Puglisi, though.
Just watched some of Colter's film and I have to say, this guy looks impressive. Knows when to put a little on and take a little. Nice guick release. Cam absolutely wing it when he needs to. I like this guy!
I think we'll be fine at WR. So, here' the 2024 roster currently: Smith, Lovett, Thomas, Dillon Bell, Cole Speer, De’Nylon Morrissette, CJ Smith, Anthony Evans, Tyler Williams, Nitro Tuggle, Sacovie White, London Humphreys.
Decision to be made: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Ladd McConkey, Arian Smith, Dominic Lovett, Rara Thomas
My bet is not all these guys on the fence will end up going to the draft. I didn't even count Brock Bowers who has yet to make his decision (fingers and toes crossed).
We'll have at least 13 guys is my bet.
If I'm CMB, Phillips Jr just became my new slot receiver. I don't know how durable he'll be as a RB in the SEC, but you have to find ways to get this guy the ball all the while having Frazier back there too!
@NorthHallDawg
Good point! I think the addition of Ginn gives CKS the four QB’s that he wants, but in a “healthier” depth chart structure than if they add a TP QB who thinks he should be awarded the starting position. I’m doubting there’s a QB in the transfer portal worth looking at who would be satisfied with being a fourth string QB.
I’m guessing (because I’m not an expert) that the main reason CKS wants a good fourth QB is to run more practice drills concurrently. The likelihood of having three scholarship QB’s on the IL is minuscule considering they don’t get hit in practice.
GO DAWGS!
Kirby certainly practices what he preaches. “The best never rests!”
Trust in Kirby. Every year, Kirby just keeps reloading talent. The future will continue to be bright as long as he's the head coach. Go Dawgs!!!
We needed linemen and that's what we got. We needed running backs and that's what we got. Reddell is our next great TE behind Luckie.
We got some great additions in other areas.
My concern is qb and wr. Need another quality qb and 2 or 3 wrs. Really do not understand why we **** so bad at landing quality wrs.
We have been slinging it with 2 different OCs and 2 different qbs. We pass the ball a lot now.
Phoning a friend to plead for some stud wrs to come to Georgia.
Sacovie & Nitro are outstanding adds at WR. had we held on to Carr, this would have in my mind rated an A grade. Going the portal route for Humphreys & Young will ease the miss of Carr & a big-name flashy 5 star.
KJ Bolden could play receiver and probably be as good if not better than any we have. He was Raiola's favorite target, JUst lob it out there and Bolden would come down with it. Reminds me of Dillon Bell.
I hear what you are saying however, what I'm saying is we need guys who can beat the 5 star dbs that alabama has who hold their arms. In other words we need George Pickens and Brock Bowers type of pass catchers that can catch with 1 arm tied behind their back. That's what it takes to beat Bama dbs.
Yeah, I think the concerns about Georgia's WRs have been pretty overblown. What I think people fail to consider is that Thomas and Lovett are coming off their first year in the program. It's reasonable to expect a jump in production from both of them in 2024. We know the talent is there. Add to that the late-season emergence of Dillon Bell (once he was able to focus more exclusively on being a WR), and we've got at least three guys that I think can and should be viewed as real playmakers heading into the next season if we put aside the "Georgia wide receiver" stigma. Then you've still got other guys who might not have quite the same direct evidence going for them, but have real potential nonetheless. And all of this is even assuming that McConkey and MRJ don't come back, and A. Smith doesn't return to his pre-2023 form.
And then, your add in the fact that Beck is coming back for his second year as a starter, having already established himself as a quality quarterback. The ability to add onto the foundation of trust, comfort and familiarity in teaming up with both the receiving corps and his OC should bring an added fluidity. I think the passing game is going to be very good to great in 2024.
