I could not agree more with Captain ESPN Obvious.....though it is a fact that Carson was surrounded by talent that could easily challenge that declaration......I offer just one example....having witnessed the center/QB exchanges this year from the receding Tide, I'd say we had the BEST center in college football in SVPG.....If you can't get the ball from the line of scrimmage to the hands of your QB, it does not matter how great your QB is.... Sed, you have left some mighty BIG shoes to fill but I know a young man with a DAWG mentality and determination who will be just fine in 24!

SOO glad CB is coming back!

Would like to see his deep ball completion % get better. Of all his throws, that one seems to be where he as the most room for improvement.

With Beck coming back and the studs we have on the roster (including transfers), the Dawgs have got one of the best (if not the BEST) overall roster for 2024. Definitely a run at the Title kinda team even if we lose a game or two (which wouldn't be surprising with our brutal schedule).

On a side note...**** Ole Miss star RB Judkins said to be entering the transfer portal****

A backfield of Trevor Etienne and Quinshon Judkins would be elite.

"The Bulldogs will also have one of the most talented defenses in the country next season as well."

I'd like to believe that, but without a radical upgrade in our defensive line we'll be sitting out serious nati competition next year.

I will be the first to admit that I never thought Carson would be QB1 for UGA. This is why I never gamble. Smartest decision ever was him deciding to come back.

Injuries were the key difference between this year and the last couple years. We just had way more injuries this year and to many of our key players. We still finished 13-1 which is amazing thanks to our depth.

Were we still the best team at the end. Yes. We would have beat any of those teams being the healthiest we had been in a couple months.

That's the way the cookie crumbles. No hard feelings here. We should have a most dominant team next year and we will need it because the schedule makers hosed us. I think we win it all again.

DL - will be better and hopefully avoid the injuries we had

OL - will be better imo (Truss was the weak link this year and Mims was hurt too much, Greene was Green)

LB - will be better (Raylen, CJ, and watch out for Justin Williams by mid season)

CB - about the same (Everette, Humphries, Harris, Ellis)

DB - young early on but Aguero, Rhett and KJ should fill in nicely by mid season

RB - much better with Etienned, RRob, Frazier

TE - drop off but still good (Delp, Luckie, Reddell)

WR - better (Bell, Rara, Lovett, Humphries, Jackson)

    QB - better (Beck, Stockton)

Since we can’t comment on the Bowers/Walker Cover 4 story:

Not to diminish the work of Bowers or any receiver but let’s remember, a receiver is credited with the yards between him and the quarterback so it is THEIR yards. The running back’s yards are his yards. A 10 yard gain for a RB is more often than not much harder to attain than a receiver running untouched for ten yards and turning around. Most of his yards are obtained when no one is allowed to touch him. The running back is fair game right from the snap.

Bowers is amazing, to be sure. His yards after catch are incredible and I bet he’d be a heck of a running back but Herschel Walker is and will always be the greatest.
