Georgia basketball is making progress, even if the scoreboard in Arkansas suggested otherwise.

As always, it’s players not plays. Hopefully Georgia can provide White with some financial help. He’s proven he’s can do a lot WITHOUT some help- imagine what he could do with more. There’s no reason Georgia can’t have an excellent B-ball team as well

UGA is a relative wealthy university with a very secure athletic program. Why do we continue to have mediocre or worse basketball teams year and year out when the Atlanta Metro area produces the best talent in the country? Answer is simple. The university leadership does not sufficiently fund the basketball program. We hire second rate coaches and can't seem to ever field a team competitive with the rest of the SEC. I am sick and tired of it. We need to approch basketball in the same manner we approach football. Find a Kirby Smart of college basketball and hire him. We hired our current coach as UF was preparing to fire him. What were we thinking? As long as the Dawgnation continues to tolerate this embarassing mediocrity, it will continue while UGA doubles down on its DEI programs.

This team has been very poorly coached. To suggest otherwise it's not dealing in reality. But I agree with your 2nd point...UGa admin doesn't care about basketball. Kirby showed you have to spend & invest if you want to win championships. We don't in basketball. Actually we are pretty much football only. Which is a shame. But I don't think anybody whose opinions matter cares as long as football wins keep coming.

These Dawgs know how to play Basketball. What they DON'T know how to do....is, WIN. They haven't figured out how to "put a game away". It takes time to separate yourself from a "loser" mentality.

Lol...."Dawgs Basketball" has been dwelling in "Loserville" far too long. Kirby showed em how to get out of that town, but, they seem to be walking, not driving.

They may not "find themselves", this year...but, if they do, they could be very dangerous. It's already taken em longer than I thought it would. They NEED a "leader" to step up and lead...on the floor. I thought Tchiawa was gonna be "that guy"....but, he [they] seems to get sloppier as the game goes on.

In fact...they all seem to get sloppier as the game progresses, because of the pressure they put on themselves. They aren't playing loose.. yet. It's like they are waiting to lose and give the other team, every opportunity to "beat em". They need to get a couple of quality wins under their belt, for confidence.

"Winning", isn't just a philosophy....it's a way of life...a mindset. These Dawgs need to learn what that means. Maybe that's why Kirby has been Courtside so much, this year. Tryin' to rub some off on Mike White and Team. Lol
