. UGA back where they generally are....nearly...winning only 50% of their games, most non SEC. Hapless Ole Miss is next. The two near bottom dwellers match-up should be interesting. Cain cannot sustain the team by himself. Unless Mike can turn this around next year. it will be his last..IMO.

Winning 50% of your games won't get you an invite to any post season basketball tournament. Another sub 20 win year next season, and I agree with UGA66 below, it'll be. Coach Whites last season in Athens. I had high hopes when White was hired, but it's not working out too good. I guess a lot has to do with the talent on the roster that he has to work with. Don't get me wrong, there's talent, but it's young..both Blue Cain, and Silas Demary Jr will be great players, with more game experience. Hopefully they both stick around, and display those talents for UGA..GoDAWGS!

Thank goodness this season is almost over. Another regular season loss and a loss in the first round of the sec tournament and it will be. Just par for the course. Of course this is not what any of us want. I was in the coliseum when Georgia beat Shaq and Lsu for the regular season sec title 24 years ago. I remember watching most of the sec tornado tournament sheltering down in the hallway of the house. Not enough of those magical moments or expectations in Georgia basketball history. I read one time that Joel Eaves had the chance to hire Dean Smith, but hired Hugh Durham instead. How much better would Georgia basketball be if The Dean had been hired at Georgia?

“We did a really poor job in the second 20 (minutes) with our fight”

and so the Mike White legacy continues to evolve, I can see this engraved on his tombstone

Mike White needs to hire someone who has a clue about offense.

@zonadawg61 this 100%. Hrs needs an "offensive coordinator " or he's going to find himself out of a job.

@David1 that's simply not the case. But the time Durham was hired Smith had been at UNC as HC for 17 years.so if you think he was coming to UGA you must have been brain damaged in that tornado. Do some research before posting. Hugh Durham came to a place with zero basketball tradition & in 6 years had us in the final four. He did a great job. Tubby & Harrick did as well. The problem is we haven't had a good hire in 2 decades. Felton Fox Crean White. Losers all. Josh Brooks is the one that should walk the plank for this but he won't. He's too busy figuring out new ways to fleece football season ticket holders

Zero points in six and a half minutes? That is pitiful. How do you go that long in a major college basketball game with no baskets?

Plateaudawg, Hey dude, you don’t have to be so mean. I was stating what I had read about around the time one of these mediocre hires was made. Maybe you need to be more polite when you post stuff. Don’t take your frustrations out on me about sorry Georgia basketball. I’ve probably been following it longer than you’ve been. So in other words, go get a life and be cordial. I didn’t call you an impolite name so I don’t appreciate it either. If you can’t say anything nice, then hush. Good grief. I’m not brain damaged. You must be because you are mean. Some of those coaches you mentioned were good for a time period. Harrick got Georgia in trouble. Do you remember that?

@David1 i apologize. I'm probably one of about 5 ppl on Earth that actually care more about UGA basketball than UGA football so yeah I'm super frustrated. I should have phrased my comment differentlySo I'm sorry for that. .Durham wasn't a mediocre hire though. He built UGA basketball. As far as Harrick he just got caught doing what everybody else was doing..,the only difference is Dooley & Adams decided not to fight for the program or the players & just throw him under the bus. We had a final four caliber team in 03. I do remember that.

Thank you for the apology. I understand your frustration. I live it too because I pull for Georgia in every sport. I think you probably do too. Go Dawgs!
