ATHENS — Carson Beck’s parting message from spring drills was how Georgia has “a lot of hungry guys.”

Beck needs to improve his deep ball accuracy.
The secondary is a legitimate question. UGA lost a lot with 3, 22, 23. The UGA team is designed (recruited) for players to leave with quality replacement players to plug and play.
But the biggest defensive issue has to be run defense. The '23 D was not a typical UGA D. At UGA it all starts with great rushing defense. Making an opponent 1 dimensional is a huge advantage for a defense. Coaches can set the defense against the expected attack by the offense. The '23 D did not meet the UGA standard.
Pass rush needs to be upgraded from '23 as well. With the talent in the secondary an improved pass rush will solve most of the secondary questions.
I said it last year and I will say it again. IF Chambliss and DJackson are starting defenders in the UGA D then UGA does not have a championship defense. Expect both of those players to be supplanted from the starting defense by mid-season.
