These rankings seem odd if Georgia, Bama and FSU showed interest.

Not as highly ranked as he probably will be for 3 reasons. 1) it is still early in the ranking cycle. 2) he has played too many positions to be focused and highly ranked at one. 3) The people that put these ranking together rely heavily on premier events to rank prospects. Many prospects do not attend these events. THEN they FORECAST NFL draft position mostly based on size . His size is only average now.

I do find UGA taking this commitment interesting and puzzling. 185 lb. RB at UGA? Not likely BUT 185 could easily become 200 lb. by his 2nd yr at UGA. I guess he could be the next Phillips. 5'11" CB at UGA? UGA typically prefers its CB's to be over 6'. Could win the job as slot CB with some weight added. 185 lb. S? See RB comments. Slot WR? IDK.

Regardless of position the player has the ability to contribute to special teams and as a KR. I am thinking free safety after adding 10-15 lb. of good weight.

The tail sometimes wag the dog (no pun intended) in these ranking services… top programs start showing strong interest, and then somehow the player got better. Generally speaking, the top programs (with their resources and rigor) know more than the rating services, with the exception of the diamond in the rough that stays hidden for reasons unknown (think McConkey). In any case, we'll take 'em and mold 'em to elite college players and winners, if they're committed to Georgia culture. Go Dawgs!
