I remember that day clearly. My wife and I were at the Savanah Hyatt and my wife was upset that I refused to leave the hotel until the game was over. Listening to Munson was always special, but this call sticks with me just like when he said " my god, he's just a freshman" when calling Herschel's touchdown against Tennessee. Go Dawgs!
I was there. 20 year old fan from the Georgia coast. My good friends Dad had 50 yard line season tickets 7 rows up behind the Ga bench and we were in them. Yes we went bonkers. Hugging and kissing friends and strangers. I’ve been hooked ever since
KB—I was your humble servant much of the time you were in Athens. We lived in Athens while my wife was finishing her masters in Education. I was the breadwinner working at "Last Chance Liquors" on the Madison highway. It was always great seeing you or you and your buddies the MANY, MANY times you graced our doors! Those were the days—GO DAWGS!
