Georgia football final grades following bounce back win over Auburn
ATHENS — Georgia football was never in doubt of losing to Auburn on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 7-0 lead after their first drive, held a double-digit at halftime and cruised to a 31-13 win over Auburn.

Must be graind on a curve.
Fair grading imho @Connor. With the losses of Bama, Mizzou, and TN we should see that our Dawgs ain’t the only team to struggle at times.
We need to remember we played Bama @ Tuscaloosa, playing them in their home field is a whole different animal. The win vs Auburn was a solid win not a Great win but a solid win.
I was glad to see our Dawgs come back after a Very emotional and disappointing loss to Bama. We have Allot of young but high quality players. I Believe they will learn from each snap taken and get experience which should help them get better. Take NO game for granted. Go Dawgs !!
Colbie Young needed to pay the team and fans back for that Pi$% Poor effort he put forth on our last minute end zone pass last week. I thought Humphrey had one of his best tackles ever on a swing pass around the left side(can't recall the quarter). Wondering what the polls are gonna look like.
CSRF?
Agree about Young. And I’ll always wonder not that it matters What If that game had been played in Athens ?? And I sure hope that Kirby and staff learned some things from Vandy playing Bama. You Can’t play prevent defense against Milroe & company !! You have to Attack, Attack, and more Attack !!
Even if you miss and with him you just might, Keep Attacking !! Milroe gets befuddled when he’s under constant attack !! Yeah he’ll burn you from time to time, but his level of play drops considerably under constant attack.
You can’t play cushion, prevent defense and beat this guy. Hopefully we will face him again in the SECCG, and Get To Him with an attacking defense, instead of playing cushion and trying to read him. Go Dawgs !!
Disagree with the statement that center Bobo had no snapping issues. On nearly every snap, Beck had to jump up to get the snap from shotgun.
Bobo: F. Again…. and Again…
double take HUH:
Georgia still wasn’t perfect when defending the edge, but it got better this week.
This Georgia Defense CANNOT set the edge, defend the edge, tackle on the edge.
Over 90% of the big gains from opposing RB’s and running QB’s are on the edge. Opposing OC’s are gameplanning and running their plays towards wherever #32 is and it is working masterfully.
We are going to face at least 3 more dual threat QB’s in the remaining games, and they are going to have a field day; the same way Milroe did! 🤷♂️
C- at best.
Still little to any explosive plays in the passing game. Bobo becoming the old Jim Chaney offense. I found myself watching the Vandy game thinking their OC had a clue. Found their offense more interesting to watch than ours. Bama didn't know what was coming next! THey actually ran the ball on BAMA, something we haven't figured out how to do yet.
Young is emerging as our go to receiver. Definitely mistimed his jump(lost sight of the ball) on that last throw in the BAMA game. But looking very solid.
I think Lovett is closer to our go-to receiver, when you think about solid route running, hands, quickness and overall dependability. It's put Dillon Bell being second.
The guy who really looks promising to me Humphreys. He's been a killer on those crisp crossing routes and yards after catch.
@CandlerPark
THe devil is in the details. Young is emerging. Not the leader yet, but 8 catches in the past 2 games. Finding him in 3rd down situtations.
The Dawgs are still believing everything written about them in August. They simply are not as dynamic and explosive this year. I have looked at some of the grades given to the various units and I think they have been very generous in most cases. Young should get the hard cut. This crap has to stop.
