NavyDawg’s instant observations: 1) THIS Dawgs team is Far from a Ntl. Title contender.

    2) There Are exceptions but as a whole THIS Dawgs team acts and plays like Entitled Dawgs instead of the Hungry Dawgs we’ve seen in the past. Where is the Fire In Their Gut type play we’ve seen in the past ??

    3) Kirby and Schumann are clearly NOT on the same page !! At first I thought I was just wrong sighted. But in every game we’ve played you see them arguing on the sideline !! I think because Kirby is saying one thing and Schumann another the Defense is Many times in a state of confusion.

    4) I have defended Mike Bobo on here numerous times. But he is in my rating a pretty decent OC not close to a Great OC. He has very little innovation. He is a mid tier SEC level OC.

    5) Beck like Bobo rates only pretty decent, Far from great. The first INT he threw today was tipped at the LOS, but even had it not been he was throwing into Triple coverage which might have got picked off anyway. The second INT was All on him. It looked allot like the Colbie Young play vs. Bama !! I will say that the WRs dropping balls didn’t help. Lawson Luckie is and will be a Stud if he doesn’t get frustrated and transfer. Impossible to brag on Bell enough. Etienne plays Very hard and is great to have him as a Dawg. Frazier is and will be a Stud if he like Luckie doesn’t get frustrated and leave. There are others that seem to Want to play but over all this Offense is a stagnant embarrassing mess !!

    6) McLeod plays with heart and effort but he can’t do it all by himself. Ingram-Dawkins deserves recognition. But all in all our Defensive Front is tepid to flat out weak. Now we pretty much knew that coming into the season and we all Hoped for improvement, well it ain’t happening. LB’s seem to improved their tackling today But they got caught out of position Multiple times. So even them ain’t exactly a shining light

    7) DBs which even when young are Supposed to be a Strength on a Kirby Smart team have been Scorched multiple times this year and in particular Today’s game. I see young guys Trying there Is some effort there but the COACHING is pathetic.
    8) The supposed Vaunted might win the Joe Moore Award O Line is Average at best. Again I think this is more about COACHING, and Desire to win is a part of that !!

    9) Special Teams is the Best part of this entire team !!

    10) There are allot of COACHES that just got a nice fat pay raise and from all I can see NOT doing their jobs !! You can miss on a few recruits and make some bad picks. But This team is Loaded with 4 and 5 star players that don’t seem to be being Coached Up.

    11) Discipline in my view IS Now a serious problem at UGA !!

The fixes: 1) It’s to late in the season to fire Bobo, but it’s Not to late for Kirby to set aside his friendship with him, Be A Boss and chew Bobo’s azz out !! Like “I want to see Significant Improvement and I want to see it now !!” Then at the end of Post Season play IF there is any examine whether he stays or goes starting with his performance vs TX.

    2) Play Beck vs TX in the first Qtr. and if HE doesn’t show Better decision making, Accuracy, and LEADERSHIP bench his azz and trot Stockton out there.
    3) Kirby needs to Chew the Entire O Coaching Staff out and I mean Hard !!

    4) As long as it’s vaguely in the realm of reason PAY Will Muschamp and bring him back to the sideline !! Send Schumann to be an analyst and let Him play with pictures and paper. OR Kirby should entirely take over as Both DC and HC other successful Coaches do it let Kirby do it to If Needed.
    5) No matter if it’s a veteran player that was a 5 star and has Previously won Awards, BENCH players that don’t show Effort OR are constantly making mistakes. Take away some of the Entitlement mantra from BOTH Players and Coaches.

    6) The buck stops at Kirby’s desk. Loyalty is a fine thing, something I admire greatly, so is friendship, BUT as a Leader and in His case a Very Highly Paid Leader you Have to make tough decisions for the benefit of the TEAM.

I will Gladly and Delightfully apologize if Kirby and our Dawgs make me wrong !! I have always Loved our Dawgs and always will. Good times, Bad times, In Between times. YES I know we can’t win Every game Every time Especially a Natty. But This team is loaded with to many 4 &5 star players and great veteran players to S T I N K This bad !! Make me eat a belly full of crow starting with TX !! I like mine with a little butter salt and pepper !! Go Dawgs !!

Beck completed 75% of his passes and had 4-5(?) drops and people here are blaming him? Beck didn't give up 31 pts. UGA has not recruited many real 5* players. Especially at wr. 5* players make game winning plays. INT was really dmb play. Time to stop CBeck from changing the play at the LOS.

This defense can't rush the passer or defend the pass. I didn't hear CJ Allen's name called until the 3rd Q.

Right now UGA looks like a 4 loss team.

@navydawg You seem convinced that Bobo has the talent at OL, WR and RB to have an elite SEC offense. I'd sure like to know where those elite players are, and why they can't consistently create running lanes, make defenders miss or create separation.

The money has tricked their brains. Kirbys made a couple of horrible choices for new coaches last couple yrs…Defensive issues looks like coaching issues. Hard to watch.

And your right as rain Bro. !! It’s just to obvious the drop off between Muschamp to Schumann !! SO Many times when the camera pans over there you see Kirby screaming at him !! It’s Obvious that the two are not on the same page and it’s keeping the Defense in a near constant state of confusion !!

And what’s up with this cushion, prevent type Defense we’re seeing waaay to much off instead of an Attacking defense of the past ?? I know you live or die by the blitz but it’s So rare now to see the Dawgs bring a Full Blitz bring everything but the kitchen sink type blitz.

No what we see is our DBs playing waaay off the ball and leaky as a submarine with a screendoor !! Receiver gets by Em catches the deep pass and TD opposition !!! Fundamentals are Not being coached INTO these high quality HS players for SEC level football !!! Schumann is the Main problem but there are Position coaches on Both sides of the ball just getting paid a nice check looks like to me !!! I mean just think of all the recent Top 5 recruiting classes that Kirby and the Dawgs have brought in !!! No Way that they can All be a bust !! I’ve voted up on Allot of your comments ( and other Dawgs fans) as your right !!! I Love the Dawgs but the word “Elite” shouldn’t even come out of their mouths until they start Earning it !!

The team we saw tonight is going to get crushed at Texas next week.

Beck wouldn't have to throw the ball 50 times a game if he could throw the long ball and hit targets with any sort of consistency. The only thing he is hitting is short to medium, which means more throws. Beck is not the answer for this team. Unfortunately, he decided to stay at Georgia for another year. The fact that every game is close means our younger players (and QB#2) are not getting the needed experience they need. Yes, he is not the only problem Georgia has right now, but his lack of leadership and consistency is glaring.

Well as I stated from the start I’m no Coach or Expert. But all we heard in media preseason was how this O Line was a favorite to be a Joe Moore Award winner. I haven’t seen that on a nearly consistent basis.

Yes there have been some better plays sprinkled in but as a whole I haven’t seen nearly an Award winner. Kirby dipped into the Transfer portal again this year and Those transfers have showed little to nothing. Lovett from last year has been pretty helpful but one would’ve hoped that even his improvement would’ve been better. Arian has improved some but he still drops the ball at critical times.

I could go on and on, but Bobo’s job goes or Should go far beyond just calling the plays. When it comes to the O he is The Man. It’s His job to over see the Offensive Position Coaches. And one example is Why did it take to game six to get the TEs more involved ??

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion, I respect that. But these Coaches make Allot of money and yet we’ve continually seen flacid performances ( with the exception of the Clemson game Oh wouldn’t we love to see just a shadow of that type performance).

Lastly please keep in mind I didn’t say Fire Bobo at THIS juncture, I said Kirby should set aside friendship a moment and Chew His Azz like most of Us regular folks get on Our jobs when under performing. ALL teams loss players for one reason or another that shouldn’t be an excuse which then becomes a crutch.

And YES starting with the TX game forward and any post season play Review Bobo’s over all performance and Then make a decision whether he leaves or stays. That Might be one of the main problems with the Dawgs is Coaches and Players feeling like they’re locked into their jobs in other words guaranteed their jobs.

Something is Very wrong and if it’s not fixed Very soon we can forget being in the playoffs less alone a Natty. I Love the Dawgs and dearly Want them to make me eat crow. But back to your question about the roster though Yes it’s been depleted some there are still plenty of players that Could be or Should be Coached Up to play SEC Level football. Look at Miss. St. HC in preseason think he’d like to swap rosters with us ??

This is what I was trying to say and you did a Far better job of saying !! The primary fault I have is with the Coaching Staff. And of course that starts with Kirby.

Coaches and Players shouldn’t get the idea that their jobs are guaranteed. I think that’s what leads to the laid back attitude. As we All know there Will be some busts in the recruiting game. That’s just a reality.

But for the last goodness gracious many years Kirby and staff have recruited top five classes, many times the number one class. ALL those 4&5 stars can’t be a bust at the Same Time !! Another failure though MIGHT be Some of the emphasis of recruiting . Dawgs Do need some 4&5 star WR recruits, I get that. But Kirby dipped into the Transfer Portal and seemed to do fairly well with Lovett and others. But his net looks to have had a hole in it This go around !! I mean Really this years transfers have not showed much. Maybe they Will as the season goes on but so far not much. Just my take. As for Beck he Seems to be going in reverse instead of going forward. Putting up a bunch of yds. through short and intermediate passes vs Miss. St. is not exactly a giant slaying performance. And Kirby’s Crown Jewel the Secondary looked Very porous today !!

Let’s just HOPE wish I could bold the word Hope, that our Dawgs were looking ahead to TX today and got caught off guard by a very determined Miss. St. team. It’s possible though not very probable. Every Sat. is different. Maybe the Dawgs that played Clemson will show up. I don’t recommend holding your breath though !! Go Dawgs !!

WOW…..Beck threw for 456 yards…….Not so fast……our total rushing production was only 150 yards with AE III being the leading ball carrier…..this illustrates the lack of CONSISTENCY……like my flat 6 Porsche Cayman is only firing on 4 every other set of downs….is is high time for the RB Room to step up, With Nate and Trevor pulling down 3 plus yards a carry it's time for our Red Shirt Sophs to have a shot….that would be Gannon Hearst, Brandon Mathis, and Jacob Hardy and I'd throw in Dwight Phillips too….. and third down should always go with Cash! Perhaps the play calling could be a more creative using the skill sets off these young men???
