The rules are different for Alabama and THE Ohio State University (and Texas I suspect).

No, you fell out fo the top 10 because it was very early in the season and there were a ton of 3-0 and 4-0 teams. Ohio State didn't fall out of the top 10 because they have among the best resumes of the 2 loss teams AND a better resume than some 1 loss teams (i.e. the Indiana team that they blew out and the SMU team with no ranked wins). Quit it with the conspiracy theories and instead start rooting for UGA to recruit better players at WR and RB.
