I hate the current state of college football.

$$$. The article says his visit to Texas for the UGA came was big. UGA's defense dominated that game. Obviously the game meant nothing. Texas definitely has the cash. Good for him, but I'm good with the players who are true Dawgs.

He has changed his mind so much, who really cares! Probably will flip from Texas!

Money talks. Wish this young and immature man the best. Hope he finally becomes a mature man and stays with the school he has chosen, but this does remind me of Bear Alexander type behavior. Probably a lot of past-life stuff involved that caused the young and immature man to break his previous promises. Maybe he will keep this one. But who knows.

I agree E_Roc and I never felt confident about his recruitment. It was like a little kid bouncing from toy to toy. First it was our Dawgs, then USC, then flirting with other teams and finally a new shiny team pops-up. I bet he hits the transfer portal in 1-2 years when the sparkle wears off his new toy. I’m disappointed he didn’t pick UGA, but it may be a blessing in disguise and feels exactly like Isaiah Crowell a few years ago. Go Dawgs and “horns down” tomorrow!!!

I've been saying that NIL would destroy college football and we are getting close to the point where millions of people will decide to find something else to do on Saturdays. But NIL will only destroy the game but the players as well. If you give millions of dollars to a 17 or 18 year old teenager who has never had access to that kind of money it will inevitably wind up in somebody else's pocket. If said player makes it to the NFL he might regain the money. If he gets injured and doesn't make it to the NFL he will wind up broke with no professional career and probably no education either.

Money can't buy love. Texas people wont love you like UGA fans would of. Maybe you could have been legend in the state. Go anywhere and be admired. Parents tell their kids and so on. Now you're just the guy who chose Texas over your home state.

    Ouch.

Well, my bet is he got a better NIL deal.

For example, QB Bryce Underwood, the #1 recruit in the country for 2025, committed to Michigan. This guy was stolen from LSU and is seen as a "generational talent at QB" (comparisons to Cam Newton and Josh Allen). Michigan pulled out all the financial stops to get this kid, including the backing from the likes of Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, and his wife. Tom Brady was also involved. Total deal said to be in the $10-15M range during his 3-year college career for marketing, merchandising, and direct monies. They are branding the kid like a commodity and will be making an advertising campaign solely off of him.

Money wins in these type of scenarios more often than not.

who cares. dline talent is a dime a dozen if they can't tackle the person with the ball. we have a plethora of those.

Not surprised. But unlike so many, I don't think this was all about NIL money. Terry obviously craves attention and letting the talk be about him. I mean, he pushed his signing until today so that his star wouldn't be obscured by all the other signings on Wednesday. And once all the recruiting forecasters started saying he was 100 percent to Georgia, I figured he would do something different. That's how guys like him think. Whatever everyone expects them to do — and which makes the most sense — they do something different for the WOW factor. But I just look at the Luther Burden's, the Walter Nolan's and a few others who chose he $$$, and are sitting at home for the playoffs. Not saying that will happen with Terry as Texas is obviously good. And Arch Manning chose the Longhorns over the Dawgs, but in all honesty, he's in the EXACT same spot as he would have been with Georgia — playing as a backup in the SECCG, the heir apparent to the job next season. Much luck to Justus Terry, but as Kirby says, we care about the guys who love the University of Georgia and want to be here!

    …….with apologies to Garth,

Justice was the DL that The Dawgs wanted for all times
each night Coach Scott and Kirby spend prayin' that God would change his mine
And if He'd only grant The Dawgs this wish we wished back then
We'd never ask for anything again……..Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs
And just because He doesn't answer, doesn't mean He don't care, Just watch and see what happens Saturday and our sky's will be all fair….Cause some of God's greatest gifts are sent to Texas and are Dawg Nations unanswered prayers!!!!
