ATHENS — Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young plans to enter a not guilty plea on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault of an unborn child and waive his formal arraignment. That’s according to Young’s lawyer Kim Stephens, who spoke to Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Hearld.

    someone please correct my math. If his first year at Miami was 22, and he played 23 and 24, wouldn’t he have another year of eligibility??

    Brooksie,

    I was also wondering about his eligibility since he had 2 years at Miami and 1 at UGA, but it looks like he was recruited out of a junior college which accounts for the 4th year. I did notice there is an “extenuating circumstances” clause in the “hardship” rules. I’m sure Kirby has explored that option, but it would only matter if Colbie is found innocent. Go Dawgs!!!
