Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and Georgia high school football standout Brock Vandagriff has retired from football, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Just very odd. I totally understood his reason for transferring and I can only guess that he lost his passion for the game, and that is sad because he has so much talent.

I was surprised he didn’t have more success at Kentucky, but he had quite a college career: two national championships and a year as a starter in the SEC. I’m sure he’ll do well in whatever decides to do.
Always thought he could be a good one. But opportunities never fell in place for him. Life throws a lot of curves and hopefully he follows God’s plan and is successful in what ever path he travels.
Seems like it was a combination of injuries and the simple fact that UK gave up on him. I wish things had turned out better for him. I still get a cheap thrill when I see Matthew Stafford slinging the ball. Best of luck, Brock!!
That's disappointing. My assumption would be that maybe injuries has reduced his upside. Otherwise, I don't understand. He could find a school at a lower level with some decent receivers and rack up some decent stats. Not likely to be an early round pick, but he still could have a future in the NFL.

Nothing wrong with Vandergrift's decision whatsoever. At the end of the day, his talents were not at the level to make a career of throwing the football professionally. I think he has lost his starting position at Kentucky. I wish him the best, as he is a great person. He can always take pride that his best game in college football was against his old Alma Mater!
