Can you imagine having to divide your focus between your Dad dying....a possible IED explosion or Terrorist attack…..and beating the Fighting Irish for a Title shot?
No darned wonder they lost. I don't think the announcers even mentioned his Dad. If it had been Ryan Day or Freeman....that's all we would've heard about. How their Dad was on death's doorstep. And, how courageous they were, even being there.
Friggin' ESPN. I hate them with a passion. Hope they go bankrupt. Lol
I noticed Kirby seemed out of sorts during the time outs. He was walking around outside the huddle a couple of times and not in the middle of it all like usual. Either way one having a dad in surgery while everything else was going on is quite a load on any man. Prayers to all involved and may Kirby’s memories of his dad be with him always. In the end if lucky we impact at least one person that carries us in their memories for their lifetime.
Condolences to the entire Smart family. This is just awful. RIP.
Prayers for Kirby and his family. So sad hearing about their loss. Hope he can get some time away from football to be with family.
