Champ, you're talking about the Falcons. They'll take a UGA player in the 6th or 7th round and say; "See, these Georgia players never pan out for us". It's the Falcons!

They have to maintain their losing tradition.

I’ve been making this point for many years…. Falcons scouts/executives want to show how “smart” they are, and how much research they do, and they show this by drafting players from as far away as possible.

If there was college football on Mars, the Falcons would draft Martians before they drafted players from Georgia.

F the Falcons for this. Wouldn’t want our Dawgs going there.

Which is exactly why, they won't draft Williams or Walker. Somebody suggested an obvious no-brainer....so, they'll draft a kicker. Lol....guess they'll show us.

Meanwhile...Falcons Fans have dumped Atlanta and drafted the Eagle Dawgs. To hell with em. Been pulling for those brainless wonders for 60 years....only to blow a 28 point lead with all the chips on the table.

And, followed that SB up, with 6 or 7 straight "losing seasons". What an organization! (tic). They seem to draft around the talent. I don't even know, how they could possibly be that incompetent. Maybe, they should try a good old fashioned meritocracy approach.

I say....Fire everybody, including Blank...and start from scratch with a new owner. Lol...or trade the Falcons for the Eagles + $2 BIL.

It may be a blessing in disguise that the Falcons don't draft UGA players. Most UGA players are used to winning 10-11+ games a season, unlike losing that many games in a year playing for the falcons.

Why would UGA players want to play for that franchise lol

  • BigDawg61BigDawg61 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

Because...it's just a little bit better than playing for "No Franchise At All".

It is the Atlanta Falcon who have a history of drafting nothing but offensive players that never materialize because of the culture and coaches. The owner has no clue nor does a highly overrated GM. Everyone can now see who built the Saints as the same coach has now turned around the Broncos.

I believe that UGA could actually beat the Atlanta Falcons.

I remember when the Falcons were created. I was a huge fan growing up for at least 20-25 years. Every single year was always an embarrassment or a big disappointment. I finally swore them off so that their incompetence wouldn't rub off on my own libido…. I have never looked back!

The Falcons just chump all the pro football fans in Georgia. The fans give them a lot of money and time. They get the idiot Atlanta and metro county governments to build billion dollar stadiums for them for free. Then they embarass the state virtually every year. I remember when the Falcons and Dolphins were created the same year. After a couple of years they played each other I believe in Jacksonville. I remember the owner of the Falcons saying that he would jump off a bridge into the St Johns River if the Falcons lost. Well, the Falcons lost and nobody jumped into the river. 50 years later, the beat goes on. BTW, Miami won a Super Bowl just a few years later.

Me too. But....even then, they had a helluva defense. Then, along comes Steve Bartkowski, William Andrews, Action Jackson and Billy "White Shoes".

They nearly had it turned around. Till they figured they could make more money selling players, than developing a winner. We, Falcon Fans, have been had.

Lol...Deion Sanders blew the lid off their scam, when he requested a trade to the Cowboys. Or was it San Fran? One or the other and both.

IIt was about that same timeframe...that they either, sold or traded Brett Favre to GB. Go figure.
