Georgia basketball March Madness run ends as soon as it starts with blowout loss to Gonzaga

The Gonzaga Bulldogs hounded Georgia from the jump, roaring out to a 27-3 lead thanks to some hot 3-point shooting and general unpreparedness from Georgia.

Maybe not the worst game the Dawgs have played this season, but definitely in the Top 3. The Zags are just in a different league than these young Dawgs. It's hard to beat any team shooting 35% from the field and 5/26 making 3-pointers, but Gonzaga tore the doors off early, buried the Dawgs, and never looked back. I think the closest we got was 17 points. Pretty embarrassing really.
Oh well, now we can say we made the Tourney, but it's not that much of a proud moment.
embarrassing…
Well, that was embarrassing. It's hard to say that at least they made it to the big dance because "just making it" should never be the goal. Georgia got the hardest 8-9 match up. We probably would have been better vs any of the other 8 seeds except uconn. Ok, Mike White, you've made improvement over each year, so now you need to return to the big dance next year and make a run, not lose the first game, but not getting my hopes up because this is Georgia basketball and it's the NIL era.
embarrassing…
What's embarrassing is Beachwagon the idiot troll being allowed behind a keyboard. lol
For all the talk, another embarrassing no-show. Horrible defense but even worse offense. The Zags may be on their way to another Sweet 16. Georgia? Should have never even been there. Not ready, not prepared, flapped their gums about how "difficult" they we going to make it on Gonzagas shooters. Zags shot 55% from the field and 60% for 3 pointers. Georgia wowed everyone with 35% and 19% from the 3. As Saban once put it "like **** thru a tin horn."
Against a better team on the big stage, we looked young, inexperienced and unprepared for it. It is disappointing but not embarrasing... embarrassing is 6-26 & 1-17 in conference. Since coach White came, we've steadily progressed to .500, then NIT final 4 and now our first big dance in a decade, not to mention 20 wins 2 years in a row. I can't let this game override all the progress we've made in 3 seasons. Looking forward to next year. GO DAWGS!!
we only lost by 3 touchdowns
While I appreciate the overall tone of the article, I don't believe Demary showed up for UGA. Nobody played well except Newell. It boggles my mind as how good guards come to Georgia and suddenly forget how to shoot...
Like I said, Mediocre Mike will lead our Dawgs to a Leonard’s Loser score of 67-87, but at least he saved the timeouts like the brilliant coach that he is…why use them early when your team is being outscored 21-3?
