Jared Curtis……If it waddles like a Duck, quacks like a Duck and lays eggs….good bet it's going to be a Duck. Oregon has a HC and an OC that just signed contract extensions and will be around for the long haul…Georgia has a HC that's going nowhere but an OC, that if you place any credence in this venue, has an extremely high bar to hurdle to last past 2025. As a Duck, Curtis faces no real competition to start early…..at Georgia there's possibly Gunner, likely Pugs, Montgomery, and Ginn and Millender. At Georgia, Curtis will face the toughest offensive competition anywhere in D-1 on a weekly basis. At Oregon, the competition only raises its head against TOS, and maybe Michigan and Penn St depending on the schedule with the rest of the card filled with pretenders and cupcakes…..for these reasons, in my mind, Curtis will lay a big ole egg come CincO De MayO…..right or wrong, The Dawgs will be in Great shape and I wish Jared the very best!

If he chooses Oregon, DAWGS will survive just fine without him. Either way, he will be playing under a coach with ties to UGA. Best of luck in your future..just remember, college Duck hunting season runs from September until late January..GoDAWGS!

You had me until you said that Curtis would face less competition to start at OR than at UGA. Looks like Dante Moore will start this year and next. He was a 5* and #4 overall ranked player in his class. After that OR has 3 4* QB's including Akili Smith Jr. He is an OR legacy and son of former PAC10 1st team player Akili Smith Sr (3rd overall NFL pick in '99).

OR also currently has committed/on the team, in the '25 and '26 recruiting classes, a 5* TE and a 4* and 5* WR.

It is also a reach to poo poo the BIG10. OSU, MI, OR, USC, PSU, MSU are all teams that would give anybody a game.

If the kid takes the money he takes the money. Can't blame him for that. OR probably offering 1.5 to 2X what UGA offering to play for pay.
