Loving me some Bo Bentley. Reminds me of SB if he was 6;2". or a little slower Bo Nix.

With the TP and NIL landscape, I'm not getting my hopes up or getting too excited. The likelihood that any of these guys enroll, develop, and stay as a Dawg for the amount of time needed to be ready to play as a better-than-average or elite QB at this level is probably no better than 50%. Seriously.

In my eyes, experience is really a bit more important than talent these days.

Good Comments Brother Montana ! I agree. Would you put Duckworth as having some similarities to Gunner ??

@navydawg…thanks, well, I haven't seen Gunner play enough to know his tendencies and honestly, how good his arm is. He throws a dart that is for sure! Duckworth seems like he could be similar, but I think with any of these guys it's all going to come down to how they develop. Many of these 4 & 5 star elites out of HS end up a bust in college, and we haven't had the best luck with star QBs. Murray and Bennett are probably the best overall QBs the Dawgs have ever had to stay and play consistently for the team. Stafford wouldn't be far behind, but he wasn't that great at Georgia. Other than that, I'd say the Dawgs haven't had the best track record with star QBs.

When I think of great QBs on college teams over the years, I immediately go to the likes of Ohio State and Alabama. They have fielded multiple stud QBs that have been elite and a few are lighting up the pros too.

I know you always want a lot of depth in the QB room but the majority of those guys are not going to stay when they see they are not the future starter. We still have Puglisi and Montgomery in the waiting line too. there will be a lot of QB shakeup in the next two years at UGA.

I like Bentley. He’s not interested in “NIL crap.” He wants to win championships. Curtis committed then decommitted. Apparently he is very much into the “NIL crap.” Give me Bentley everyday.

Thx for responding !! Good analysis on your part. And I did note you were considering consistency as vital, which it is for sure. Still I think Zier ( probably spelled his name wrong) and Shockley would land in that mix some where. But you are right for some strange reason UGA hasn’t been consistent in landing true top shelf QBs. I’m really pulling for All our QBs. But with a bit of bias Hoping Gunner will shine really bright !!
