Its all about "me" and not the "u".. I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers multiple times before his college career is over. But its all about the u.. for now. In this new age of college football, that attitude will last until another school ups the ante, and he decides to pursue the mythical "greener pastures" at another school (the old saying goes..if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is..and a lot more times than not, that old saying still rings true to this day). I'll believe that, 7 days a week, over his "all about the u" reasoning. Its Miami $$$ at work, nothing more. Off topic and vote it that way, no big deal. Florida is exposing an OVERRATED Auburn basketball team. Don't like either team, but I like Bruce Pearl, and auburn even less! I say overrated for a couple of reasons, Auburn lost 3 of their last 4 games, but still remained every media experts #1 darling, and #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tourney (most likely, any other team drops out of the top 10 with 3 losses in 4 games) and probably drops to a 2 seed at least). I wonder how those experts feel now about making that choice over obviously better teams? And auburn almost lost to, as some people refer, a mediocre UGA team, with a mediocre head coach. That doesn't speak well for a supposed #1 "powerhouse" Auburn basketball program either. Johni Broome, everybodys all world player, and a very seasoned veteran, was beaten out for AP Player of the year by an EIGHTEEN year old Freshman from Duke who is playing his 1st season of college Basketball lol if Auburn were to play Duke, or Houston, it would be embarrassing for the SEC for Auburn to lose by 20+ points. Florida matches up better against Duke, or Houston. Auburns half court, slow style offense wouldn't cut it against a team of Duke, Houston or even Florida's caliber, which was proven tonight when it really mattered. Florida, down by 8 at halftime, proceeded to take over the 2nd half, (even with the refs calls favoring Auburn most of the 2nd half), in route to a win, and a trip to face either Houston or Duke for the title. At least there's 1 SEC team in the finals, just not who most thought it would be though. In closing lol i'm also glad I don't have to hear Charles Barkley fawn over his beloved, overrated Auburn team anymore this year!

Guard your car son. Plus, do we really need a 170 pound DB? 🤷‍♂️

I agree with you and Jeff, he'd have to put on at least 25 pounds to be a SEC DB. A 6' 170lb SEC DB is not intimidating..

So much for Kirby looking for a certain make up in a player.

Sadly, the only thing that that matters these days is the quick, easy $$$$ to a lot of young, college athletes. A Commitment now is nothing more than a word used as a leverage tool to bring out the highest bidder for their services. Guess im old school, and outdated, but, to me, a commitment means you stick to your word, regardless of how bad things get, and not tuck tail and run when adversity hits or something supposedly better comes along. And rest assured, adversity will hit, it affects everyone during their lifetime, some more often than others, so its not a matter of if, but when, that you will suffer through those hard times. If you have doubts, or 2nd thoughts about making a commitment, theres a simple solution, take a step back, rethink your process, and don't commit unless you're 100% certain that's what you want!

Good luck to him, but to hit the next level, the player will have to be willing to sacrifice at some point. Maybe hard work and constantly competing was more than he was willing to accept. Time will tell if he made a smart decision. Early playing time does not necessarily guarantee the transition to the next level.

Apparently young Jontavious was never about the football….it'll be NIL, sunshine, thonged iguanas and a cupcake season.
