Nope, you wasted time on this article. No one is looking a UGA assistants right now. They all have a lot to prove this year.

Sorry to disagree, any good AD is always on the lookout for potential coaches/assistants that could help their program thrive. The more articles printed, the more popular the potential coach/assistant becomes. But give coach Smart his due, he brings in the same or better talents when he needs to replenish.

Both are going to be head coaches in the future but I don't think it will be this year unless the Dawgs win it all and have a shutdown defense.

Based on the (lack of) performance of the UGA D (and especially the LB's) over the last 2 years leads me to believe that Schumann is not where Dan Lanning was when he made the leap to HC. Sure, Schumann could be a HC tomorrow SOMEWHERE. But a HC at a top level program? Like Oregon? Not yet and probably not for a few more years.

Donte Williams might be an enticing candidate but, so far, the development and play of UGA DB's and especially his recruiting have fallen short of the UGA standard under CKS.

It seems CKS's #1 criteria for hiring assistants (especially on D) is their ability to recruit. It seems he feels he can pick up the slack/ fill in the blanks of his assistant coaches coaching limitations with his own coaching prowess.

So far Travaris Robinson and Donte Williams have not impressed in recruiting or on field coaching. UGA felt the absence of Will Muschamp last season.
