Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Yep, this NIL situation has turned College Football teams into paranoid (and rightfully so) messes and fear (not injuries or timing or recruits or whatever) is the reason for the Spring Game disasters. I'm glad that it was such a poor showing because it needed to be reflected of the mess that it is. If the game was televised and locked in, no doubt it would've sold out.
The Spring portal needs to go away or moved at least a month earlier. Mid April isn't the time to be finding a new team and expecting to play. If you reach the end of Spring and are not happy in your situation then fine, you should be able to Transfer… but no NIL deals allowed and no playtime till the following year. Even someone skilled like Nico at a large SEC school can just jump to another large school and expect to start. Maybe Georgia is just the exception, but it seems to take QBs a long time to master the playbook.
As a college football fan, the Iamaleava situation interest me. But his departure from Tennessee is not a "loss" to the University of Georgia. As Kirby himself said, we need to worry about our own house. The ex-Tennessee quarterback just shouldn't figure into a story about the positives and negatives (winners and losers) from a Georgia Bulldog spring game. Absolutely not relevant. But, since you mentioned it, I'm all for the Tennessee game holding less intrigue now. In fact, I want ALL UGA games to hold no intrigue. I would be TOTALLY satisfied if we won every game 50-0, and breezed to another Natty. I know that's not how most people see it, but I do not crave anxiety. I'll take a boring Georgia victory any day. So, if D.J. Lagway wants to bounce at Florida or Arch Manning decides to hold out at Texas, I'm ALL FOR IT. Go Dawgs!
