One thing I've not seen any coverage of, or mentions in the comments either, is the excellent, creative offensive plays that were called early in the game, including a spiffy double pass. The result of almost all of them? Donut holes.

If anyone wonders whether Bobo CAN call creative plays, there is certainly now less wondering in my mind. The elephant in the room is that the team just cannot execute on them. We saw that time and again on Saturday.

I'm guessing that, until the team can show they can execute on creative plays, Bobo is going to keep the playbook tight, esp in crunch time.

I kind of thought the opposite (that it was Bobo, not the team) before Saturday, but not so much now. Obviously, all the pieces have to work together, but until the team can execute to the standard regularly, I'm going to pause my Bobo comments... at least for a while 🤔😁

This is having the G Day game televised is such a big deal. It lets us take our time (many months till Game #1) and analyze each play. I really have NO IDEA how well Stockton did. Were they on target but the curse of last year got us again? Were they overthrown/underthrown? Good judgment/Bad judgment? No clue.

Let’s hope that unlike last summer, the guys like Stockton & other upperclassmen who’ve been in Athens for several years will become leaders. They need to get the rest of the team in the weight room, on the field for 7 on 7 work, & whatever else is necessary to build this brotherhood players always talk about. That way they show up in August in condition, on the same page, & ready to dominate like the Dawgs did from 21-23!! GO DAWGS!!
