Georgia RB Branson Robinson plans to enter transfer portal

What Georgia football will be looking for in the transfer portal as â¦

This is a heartbreaker.
Really wish him the best!
I had such high hopes for both of the Robinson’s, but they seem to be very injury prone. Wish him the best and this may be the best outcome for him and UGA. Hopefully we can grab a great running back from the transfer portal. Go Dawgs!!!
Oh Man !! I hate to see this !! I was hoping things would go well for Branson. Maybe change his mind ? Regardless to me he’s a DGD and I wish him the very best in life on and off the field.
Just a question the mysterious “They” say the pickings are pretty thin for a quality RB out there. So what would Yall think about a veteran RB from either Div II or higher profile Jr. College ranks ?? Just curious.
He looked great his first year. Too many injuries. Expected when you run as hard as he did.
I wonder sometimes if the entry into portal isn't the result of a talk with coach about playing time and maybe a suggestion that they would be happier elsewhere. Especially if we have to pare down total numbers. We lived up to our part by ensuring he got good medical care. With limited nrs can you carry a lot of folks who have injuries that prohibit their ability to even practice?
So the dude is injury prone and thinks the answer is to go somewhere else? Whatever the answer, I wish him all the best!
Lot's of injuries, never able to see his true potential at UGa. Best of luck at your next stop, branson.
Robinson would be an elite RB, if only he could stay healthy. Best of luck young man..GoDAWGS!
best of luck to him. Because of his constant injuries, we never had a chance to enjoy his talents.
Awe man. He was one of my favorite players. I wish him luck. Hope you mend so we can see you on the highlights next fall.
So by transferring he is going to NOT get injured anymore?
And he will play more somewhere else….Really?
Portal is a dadgum joke
Here is the saying " If you don't produce, We cut you loose " Nuff said GO DAWGS
He'll make somebody a good running back. He has a lot of talent, speed, and size. Wish him the best wherever he ends up.
Look, it's easy to feel down about the whole NIL situation and certainly there are going to be drama situations like Nico was, but this isn't anything new and it's just in a different form. Situations like the Justin Fields situation were FAR uglier in my opinion and don't forget the programs that did illegal behind-closed-door deals, players suspended severely for selling autographs and coaches that would leave the moment signing day had passed. I'm not saying things are better as they are still a massive mess but we'll get there hopefully. I'm hoping the rumors of Nico taking a pay cut are true and makes some people rethink their decisions.
In terms of Branson, I have no idea remember that it's not just a one-way street. Teams can certainly ask players if they are "sure they don't want to enter the Transfer Portal, hint, hint". Again, I have no idea nor evidence that this is the case, but as long as scholarship rules and limits apply, Smart has to do what's best for his program (just like Saban had to infamously "gray shirt" people).
If you look at the list of Transfers, it really is indicative that it's not that bad. You worry when you see players transferring to Ohio State, Bama, Texas and such, but when someone transfers to Charlotte, it's clear that its best for both programs. We also have a lot of players that have re-entered the portal which makes sense. Transfers to A&M, Missouri and Miss State are the only SEC school transfers.
