"Next season could be different, however, if recent ESPN 2026 NFL Draft projections prove accurate."_____MG

That's a big "IF", Mike. I don't think, the so-called "projections" for the NFL Draft, have EVER been correct. Even remotely.

Who would've predicted…or, projected, if you will...Kirby Smart having 15 draftees, in '21? Much less the run he's been on, since.

Kirby Smart is running a 3-4 year, NFL Training camp. That also happens to play games in the Fall. That's the shaded part of the gap, only one or two coaches know about....and are capable of effectuating. Dan Lanning, is one of those.

I'm just sayin'....you can give most of the HC's in CFB, the best ingredients…and they'll still screw it up. I think it was J Paul Getty, that said, "Any fool can make a million dollars. But, keeping it? That's a different story.".

There are a lot more uber-talented teams around, than there were before, it seems. But, the Coaching hasn't changed....and, talent alone, doesn't guarantee a darn thing.

Except, maybe a 10 win season. Lol...which'll get you a 10 year guaranteed contract....or an extension with a huge buyout. And, isn't that the game, some of these coaches are really playing? Who's the fool?

@BigDawg61 Agree, this NIL and transfer policy has been a game changer, tho, where even when a coach recruits well and develops well, he can lose a guy at the drop of a hat!

Whether Beck is a first-round talent at this point is to be seen. I don't think he was this year, and I don't think HE thought he was this year, either, or he likely would have foregone this extra year down in Miami. If we're talking about his 23-24 season only, then sure. Add 24-25 to the picture, though, and there are some definite questions.

IMO....There's something a little off…wrt the Beck situation. If he's not careful, he's gonna experience the "Shadeur Shuffle", right on down the draft boards. Lol. Afterall, "perception" is 9/10ths of "reality".

He has the physical tools for a pocket passer....but, does he have the steely Georgia mental toughness.

The ingredient, that allows a pocket passer to read a defense and know where to go with the ball. And, use the pocket to buy time against a solid rush. And…take the hit, if necessary...pop up and move on to the next play.

He didn't seem to have that level of confidence, that I thought he should've had, last year. Moreover....it seemed to get worse as the year went on.

IMO.…it's kind of hard to judge Beck on last year, alone. Due to the injuries and general upheaval of the entire offense.

I don't see what he gained by moving to Miami. He has to start all over. Lol

IF the O Line gives him adequate protection And the RBs do a decent job toting the ball, Gunner is gonna shock & awe Allot of people !! In a very pleasing way for Dawgs fans !! This Team is gonna do the same !! NEVER underestimate Kirby Smart !! Go Dawgs !!
