    Good article Connor. Interesting stats.

Penn State ranked #1, Indiana #2.

Ohio State was ranked 28th and Notre Dame 33rd.

Unfortunately, we've got a very young roster, so the depth in experience is lacking. Gone are the days of Kirby plugging and playing experienced 4 & 5 stars due to injuries. With the new rules of a much smaller allowed roster the injury bug could really decimate a team's chances.

In my opinion (and I know that no one asked), Saban quit for two reason. One, he knew that the transfer portal and NIL deals would make it impossible to keep 4 deep on a depth chart. Two, he knew that he would lose his advantage, specifically, having starters at 3rd and 4th string allowing him to have very physical practices, similating real game days. You here graduates say all the time that practices were harder than games.

Kirby has to deal with this. He wants the physical practices, but because of NIL, 3 and 4 deep have gone somewhere else for playing time and money. And if 1st string gets hurt, 2nd is playing, and third doesn't exist or is a true freshman. I hate to say it, but something has to give.

Saban knew he couldn't keep winning under these circumstances without change, which he wouldn't do.

If Penn State can stay healthy and avoid the injury bug like they did last season, I think they might end up being the team to beat this season after Texas. With experienced QB Drew Aller coming back along with (2) Top 10 RBs in Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, they have an excellent roster of experienced players. Of course I say this knowing that Franklin doesn't have a great record in big games, but he did pretty well last postseason.

I'd love to see an stat over the last 10 years since Kirby has been the head coach how his teams injury stats compare to other top contender programs over that time span.

My gut tells me Kirby's teams have been banged up considerably more over the years with key players out or out for the year vs. other comparable programs.

    Just my opinion… Go Dawgs!

And yet….win more consistently and more titles than those others.

    So what's really your point?

Good coaching, prepared dedicated players, work ethic is elite, depth is still elite, etc.

And yet s tupid Peter Burns says Texas is the SEC powerhouse having won nothing!

Experience is not on our side…true.

But the coaching and preparation of ALL players makes up for that.

Texas and Penn State…I'll take KS over Sark (two time loser vs Smart even with a backup QB) and Franklin who is a train wreck coach in meaningful games. As far as the returning QB at PSU and Manning at Texas, the PSU QB implodes in big moments and no matter how good they think Manning is….he is inexperienced and got his butt kicked by our D when he did play. Those two teams lost lots of players but the media keeps blowing sunshine up everyone's skirt saying they are experienced and UGA is not. FALSE!

    WE ARE THE STANDARD!

I think his point was with a healthier team we might have won a 3rd Natty in 2023 and perhaps a 4th in 2024 but call me crazy. I seem to remember a banged up Ladd and Bowers in 2023. and as has been noted by UGAdad20 that Bowers got injured at the end of maybe the Vandy game which was a blowout and he had no business being in the game at that point. That's on the coaches.

Thus are the vicissitudes of playing the toughest schedule in the SEC and thus America…..with all that said, we did **** great considering an up & down QB play……we just flat ran out of gas against ND……hopefully, the 25 schedule with favorable Home stands, size and youthful exuberance on the OL, a true leader at QB, a Defence made up of "quick & angry aggressors, TE's & WR's with HANDS & LEGS, an RB room with guys biting at the bit to show the world the UGA is RBU and several "paybacks due", The Dawgs will dominate every game!
