Allen will need an all world gap eater in the middle to accomplish this and that is what UGA is missing. We don't have the body in the middle to wreak havoc and force run plays to the outside. It is a very rare combo of size, strength and speed that can do this. UGA had 3-4 of these guys in 2021 & 2022 and I don't thing we had one in 2023 & 2024. If we can plug the middle, we look like an all world defense, but if we don't, we look lost and on ice skates all over the field. It is not rocket science, but it does take a lot of calculations to get the right minds and bodies in the program.

I’m with you, great comments on your part. And from a Team perspective if Allen could do that would be Great !! But even if he did that and Even more I’m not sure the Heisman folks would vote him in. Their to hung up on QBs, RBs, and WRs.

Which I’ve always felt is grossly unfair to Outstanding Defensive guys. If he did all that and more it’s possible he’d get in Heisman talk but I don’t think very probable. Now Butkus Award is a whole different story, if he does that he should be a shoe in for that award.
