How do you get them ready? Play them in a game. Not just 5 snaps. If they put in the work, put them on the field

Great article and… Conner turned on the comments! Lisa and I just celebrated with a beer (kidding... sarcasm, obviously).

There's been so much discussion on this forum (and others) about how thin the "next man up" is at UGA in the past few years of TP+NIL, and it's totally true. That said, I can't think of a team NOT suffering from that right now (maybe Texas and/or ND... not sure, but they seem to have less departures, but who knows?). Clemson is unique, to Dabo's increasing credit, IMHO.

So, if you've got a rotating door for 2nd-4th strings anymore, what does make a difference? Coaching. I think "in Kirby we trust" trumps a bunch of Top 25 teams. Coach K at Duke was notable for making the turn successfully when "one and done" became the reality in college basketball a while back, and I'll bet CKS becomes a similar reference point for success in CFB under the "new rules"

    We'll see this fall!

I contend that last year we had RB's that could have improved our yardage stats…..riding the bench, WR's that would have done a better job snagging in CB's errant passes….riding the bench, OL's and DL's that given a chance could have helped…..riding the bench, and for sure a QB, that if nothing else, would have helped CB refocus and become grounded…but he rode the bench until disaster struck but came in and saved the day…..and just maybe had he been given a few more game snaps…..been able to rally The Dawgs over ND…..I surely hope that KPS embarrassed the ole gamblers, Kenny Rogers admonition….."you got to know when to hold'em, and know when to fold'em"……for DAWG-Sake provide game time chances!
