Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Always tough losing a loved one, time will heal the hurt. Just remember the memories you created together, that also helps ease the hurt a little.
Wonderful article skillfully writen in the Bill King tradition. It brought a tear to my eye reading it. Kirby Smart is without a doubt the best thing that has every happened to the UGA football program. No just because of his incredible win record, but also his leadership and selfless service. My only constructive criticism of hiring friends and family excessively can be forgiven when the entire volume of work is considered. My concern these days is that we take care of CKS by encouraging a personal fitness regimen for him and also to take time in his high stress never stop job of recruiting to enjoy life with friends and family. Tempus Fugit. The Dawg Nation does not want Kirby Smart to burn out supernova style. Hopefully we will benefit from a long coaching career at UGA with CKS at the helm.
As for his dad, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Great article and Great comments from my fellow Dawgs here. It’s a hard thing when you lose a parent. Both of mine have gone on to be with the Lord. Daddy in 1992, Mama in 2018. You Never forget them but in time the pain starts to diminish. But you never ever forget them. For those of us of faith we believe with all our hearts we’ll see them again One Fine Day in the future. Yes Kirby Smart is Great for Dawgs football as he dearly loves every facet of the program. The man loves his job !! As long as we have KS I believe our Dawgs will either win or be real close sniffing the Ntl. Title every year. Not gonna win Em all but Dawgs will be right there in the hunt pretty much every year. For Kirby I’m sure the loss of his Father is still very raw him and his family and All my fellow Dawgs fans that have lost a parent or both parents are in my prayers. Go Dawgs !! Best fanbase in All CFB !!
