It seems that there are teams (Mia, USC, TX) that watch who commits to UGA then goes after them and offers more money. They think/know that UGA is selling recruits on development, experience and individual and team success. They know that UGA is not paying as much for freshmen as others.
Hopefully the new cap, "rules" and NIL clearing house levels the playing field for recruiting going forward.
You can go where you figure the talent pool is less and you'll be more likely to play early on or you can go and compete and have the number 1 QB in the nation throwing to you as you develop from the ground up. His decision makes me feel even better about the horses we have in the barn.
We have 5 WR signed in 25 and 2 more already in 26. Most are 4 stars are better. Out of those, at least 2 or 3 are going to play above their ranking. Kirby gets the most from his players.
