OLINE is the biggest ?? Not because they don’t have many starts, just Coach SS hasn’t proven he can gel talented players into a cohesive unit.

I think Stockton would be pretty good behind a decent OL. The DL should get more push from the middle this year, the way Kirby likes it. Kirby will no doubt poor mouth at media days, but the finished product should be as good as anyone elses. Manning looked like a deer in the headlights against the Dawgs last year. Ohio State lost a lot. Penn St. actually could be pretty tough. Bama at home is the whole thing for most Dawg fans no matter what Kirby says, so there's that. If the Dawgs are 4-0 at end of September, look out!

Mike mentions losing the pass rush of Jalon Walker, but does not mention Chris Cole, who some think will be the next versatile linebacker filling Walkers role. Cole looked very promising last year and I look forward to see him in action this year. Whether he can be an effective pass rusher remains to be seen, but the potential is there.

Can the WR's catch this year? Can the OL block? Those are my concerns not the defense.
