Kirby needs to realize how important that game is to 99% of Dawg fans. It's the whole year for many.
It doesn't take great recruiter coaches to recruit inferior players. It does take great developer coaches to develop those inferior recruits into superior players. There are a lot of great recruiter coaches on the UGA staff that have a lot to do to prove they can develop lower ranked players into superior players.
I really hope to see Ellis R. IV getting significant playing time this year. We can't hold the #2 overall and #1 CB off the field for 2 years, imo he will transfer if that's the case and it will be a bad look. I know Kirby knows best, I just haven't seen a lot of talk about him this spring/ summer and that's extremely concerning IMO. Hopefully it's one of those "look at this hand" and not the other type deals like Saban always had, every year. I love to hear the FIRE, PASSION AND ENERGY, I feel like we've missed that the past 2 years. Especially last year on offense, we haven't had the explosive players... or PLAYCALLING like we had in 21,22 the last 2 but this year WILL be different. I dare say this will be the best receiving (at any position barring Brock Bowers) core I've ever seen at Georgia. We have legitimate playmakers and size, I really hope Bobo can dial it up and they can execute. We can't go through the season sleeping through the 1st half and waking up the 2nd half on offense. It needs to be 4 QUARTERS. "You're either ELITE or your NOT!" So excited for this season, if we can just execute and not run a vanilla playbook... this year could be one of most exciting ones yet. Young, old, in-between, transfer or walk on, LET'S SEE SOME FLIPPIN FIRE UNDER SOME BUTTS AND GET TO CHOPPIN!
