Despite being a representative at SEC Media Days, Kirby Smart has not told Stockton that he will start the 2025 season opener against Marshall. The battle between Stockton and redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi rages on into August.

Here's a quote from Finebaum on SBIV before the first UGA natty with Stets: “I’m hesitant to answer that question in the affirmative [regarding Bennett leading Georgia to beat Alabama]. … I just want to see something that I haven’t seen out of him… in the previous two games against Alabama, he was very pedestrian… And I think that could be the difference in this game.”
Hopefully, his quotes on Gunner will age equally as well 😎
This is a head scratcher. Why not name GS starter? Everybody knows GS will be the starting QB.
There are a couple of reasons why you don't name a starting QB on 7/15. 1) you want to keep the fire under the players competing to start. You don't want your QB to coast/relax (like CBeck did last year?). 2) you want to keep your opponent guessing ( Marshall? Really?) as to which QB they should prepare for. Neither of those things would seem to apply in this case. The only other reason to keep players guessing is to try and keep them out of the TP. Again, not a consideration in this case with Puglisi in his 2nd yr and no TP until Jan '26.
IF there is any legitimate reason for not naming GS starter now , that has to be a concern to all UGA fans.
Not all coaches are created equal.
Does Paauul have anything to do with UGA football? I sure hope not. Has he questioned the ability of the projected starter at Bama? Paauul is totally irrelevant.
Paul's schtick is to stir the pot. If he's not doing that it's like wrestling without all the macho-man(woman) bravado, it just isn't that interesting. His daily call-in show(too hard to watch) is mostly fans calling in and ranting about their teams woes,or about an opposing team, or about some coach(usually theirs they want fired or can do no wrong). A lot like it is on here at times, just it's on TV.
