    Yeah...they'll probably be in the CFP this year. Probably should've been in it last year, too.

    IMO...If Bama DOES make the playoffs...it won't be because of a quarterback, anymore than "missing the CFP last year", was because of the quarterback [although, he didn't help]. There's a lot of letters between A & Z...and i think we skipped some. Lol

    Putting it all on QB play, ignores the need for a great rushing & tackling defense, great blocking & skill positions and good-to-great Special Teams....Not to mention, great coaching.

    If you are missing one or two of those things....the odds of winning a Natty go way down. But, with great quarterback play...you can still make the playoff. Lol...especially, when they go to a 16 Team model.

    Wrong site, Mike. I think this was meant for BamaNation. Surely I wouldn’t be reading about this on a “DawgNation” website.

    Couldn't agree more... I read this again just to make sure, and there is zero explicit UGA angle to the story. OK, if DN had a "Weekly Profile of the Competition" column, I'd get it. But there isn't (unless this is a new idea brewing; might be an interesting idea... would obviously need to be about more than Bama).

    IMHO, if it's on DN, it has to have a "so what" for UGA, full stop.

    @Kudzu

    Georgia has two CFP contenders to play at home — this is one of them. Biggest game of the early season… could determine UGA's season. Media days gives us a chance to scout all the teams on UGA schedule and learn their story. Two teams on every field, always fun to know the other one and key in on what will decide the game. This one? Bama QB play vs. UGA QB play.

    What GREAT NEWS…..seems the pundits have tagged our two most challenging opponents…..Bama & Texas as needing and depending on stellar QB play…….If the Dawg D plays to expectations, the Tide & Longhorn QB's won't be able to run while being pressured…running for their life, won't be able to establish a ground game because our D-Line will dam it up so the passes will be short and fast….perfect conditions for INT's……add in the "Home Dawg Nation Fanatics" and it might be a long day in Sanford for the visitors. I am thankful, Gunner knows The Dawgs will win when He is just one of many elite players playing as ONE TEAM.

    I would add this, as well.

    “Welcome to "Around the SEC" where we give you the latest from around the conference and how it impacts the Georgia program.”

    While it’s not explicit in the article how the information here impacts UGA, we’re all capable of extrapolating.

    Everyone in the UGA program knows how important this game is. Many believe that Kirby needs this game to rebuild momentum lost from last season. Beating the rocky tops again ain't gonna mean much. Bama is the whole thing.

    @osmosiphobe I probably wasn't clear enough in my original post, but what you pointed to is exactly where I was headed. Around the SEC has as its stated charter "... and how it impacts the Georgia program." I was not saying @MikeGriffith shouldn't be posting about Bama, rather, where is the assessment of what it means to the Dawgs? We can all extrapolate, of course, but I would have liked to get MG's explicit points in the article, as he does with most of them.

    My 2¢!
