Thank you to all of the so-called journalists and bloggers out there that are disrespecting Georgia this season. That’s exactly what Kirby wants for his bulletin board material. Go Dawgs!

Folks, let's brush up on our arithmetic. Counting kickers, there are 24 starters on the team every year. So if we lost a total of six players to the NFL last year, that's about 25% of the starters, right? At least in theory, players have four years of playing time, right? So it looks to me like Smart and Company are managing their squad very well because they are turning over about 1/4 of their starters every year which allows managable turnover of players over time.

Just play the games. Until that happens nobody knows who the best teams actually are. However, the motivation providers are appreciated. 😊

They have a point, especially in certain areas. But, that's why you play the game. Best thing about Kirby, he wants it more than everyone else.

1 of those areas is money spent buying players lol that doesnt always translate to success on the field though.

@David1 I wholeheartedly agree, Kirby is on a mission this year. He is gonna cut some guys lose and we will finally see elements of that old defense we have been accustomed to.

@David1 UGA has won a single postseason game since 2022, a very tepid overtime win in the 2024 SECCG played in what might as well be UGA's second home. (Seriously between the SECCG, Georgia Tech home games, kickoff classics and the Peach Bowl, UGA has always played at least 1 game in Atlanta in each year of Kirby's tenure, but in most years they play 2 and in 2017 they played 3.) And from a team that had 3 bad losses (double digits to Notre Dame, 10-3 Ole Miss and 9-4 Bama) UGA not only lost 13 draft picks but also Chaz Chambliss and 7500 yard 57 TD QB Carson Beck. So QB, RB, top 2 WRs, top 3 OLs, 3 of the 4 starting LBs, 2 DEs including the best pass rusher, both safeties gone from a team that lost 3 games by 2 scores, and the previous year had real issues when Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey were hurt.

It is fine for UGA fans to have faith in Kirby Smart's recruiting and coaching. But that is not the media's job. The best argument for UGA not being in the top 2 in the SEC this year is that the contenders to knock them off - Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee - have even more deficiencies of their own to address.

Is there a living soul that cares what a little writer like this fellow thinks about college football? I am sure he is one that thinks bama will be back in Atlanta this year, based on what I have no idea.

Based on AL's top rated blue chip ratio, 2 5* QB's and win over a better rated '24 UGA team in '24?

Bama fans thinking Ty Simpson is going to be their savior 💀 Do they not remember what happened when he played last year vs an FCS school. And Texas can have all the players/ experience in the world... they had them last year and what happened? Oh ya 0-2, 1 at their house. Kirby actually said that he likes the youngness on the team and thought they brought a fire/ exuberance that the last couple teams have missed. We've seen freshmans come in and run cfb for the last decade, that reasoning for pre rankings in these articles is lazy tbh. Put the ball on the field and let's get it.

    GO DAWGS 🔴🐾⚫️

Dawgs do seem to play better when people apart from the fanbase naysay them. They just seem to rise up to play harder. Course I’m sure KS is continually stoking that fire all the while. Until they give me a reason not to I’m gonna. Believe in our Dawgs !! Go Dawgs !!

Thank you for reminding me that some fans stoke the fires, too. I know all of the statistics from the past years since the back to back national championships, which was the last one that the SEC won. Last year’s team didn’t have the leadership the previous teams did. I’m hearing from a reputable source that the leadership will be improved this season, which will lead to more accountability. Fire, passion and energy. Go Dawgs!
