Comparisons will go away just as soon as media quits writing about it and asking questions about it. The team nor fans give a rip about comparing the two. Only media …. Stipid topic.

Going to lose to Texas with Carson Beck, but won with Gunner twice. Do we need to say anything more?

Other than the fact that you are 100% wrong? Do you even watch or listen to Georgia football?
Beck is a heck of a quarterback whose story very closely matches Stockton’s. A highly recruited player who waited 3 years before starting when he could have transferred anywhere. He had no support from his offensive line and receivers last year. His elbow was hurt on a bad coaching decision and, had he played against notre dame, I am certain we would have won. And let’s not gloss over the fact that Georgia was the best team in the country in ‘23 but got screwed out of the playoffs.

He is also a University of Georgia graduate.

None of this is a knock against Stockton. I am in complete support of him but to trash Beck is ignoring facts and history.

"But Georgia believes Stockton brings a different vibe to the Georgia team than Beck did as a starter."…..YA RECKON….As I've said before, the difference is all about FOCUS & LEADERSHIP. Year one, Beck had the focus but the leadership was never there….he was the best QB in D-1 and was surrounded by team mates that made up for the leadership gap. Year two, Beck was off and on with the focus and again no leadership. Gunner led The Dawgs to beat Texas with his will to win attitude, inspiring teammates to play beyond their average ability. Gunner has focus, He will attack each game as if it is the most important game of the year. His leadership will unify The Dawgs and each game will be a TEAM effort. His leadership will also inspire other team members to step up and become leaders as well…..

I hope Beck becomes the QB stat leader with Miami, hopefully The Dawgs will get to play The Canes in the playoffs and the best TEAM will prevail.

I agree 100%..he waited his turn, unlike a lot that dont or won't do that. I applaud him for that, a man true to his word. I wish him the best of luck in his career. But he's moved on, and the subject is old news, time for the media move on from it also. Its up to us, the fans, to give 100% of their support to the players that take the field this season for UGA..GoDAWGS!

When people doubt UGA these days, they're not doubting Kirby and the defense. They're doubting CMB and the offense. THey saw what happened last year, and we had a first round draftable QB.

Comparisons won't go away??? …that's because some won't let them.

But what the "hay" - I will try, it's "talking season":

    1. Pretty sure when Gunner throws an interception - he won't let the person intercepting run right by him without making an effort to tackle him. Also, pretty dang sure that he wouldn't walk off the field laughing after the interception (see UAB game when Beck got pulled).
    2. With the above said, thinks teammates would more than likely play a little harder for one QB over the other (see TX game).
    3. I think one is a "gamer" and one isn't - willing to do whatever it takes (see TX game).
    4. One loves Georgia just a little bit more than the other.
    5. One loves to glamour/spotlight a little more than the other. The other loves pickup trucks & the Dawgs, more grounded.
    6. And like Bubba says - I'd drink a beer with Gunner, wouldn't with the other guy.

As mentioned in other posts, CB15 could’ve left but big props to him for staying when he was QB2 or QB3. I fairly believe a healthy Beck we beat ND, my opinion. But no need to trash or hate on Beck. He did what was best for him, or heck, maybe there was mutual agreement to leave.

Gunner Stockton strikes me as a grounded young man who grew up dreaming and getting better each day to have the opportunity to be tte QB for Georgia and it means a great deal to him ...

I hear all this talk of CB15 waiting his turn. OK. But that turn could have come alot earlier (2021) if he hadn't **** the bed when JT Daniels got hurt. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Beck was the #2 QB on the depth chart and was so out of it that week of practice that Stetson stepped up and stepped in.
