While some of Bobo's calls were suspect, overall he called a very good game. Defense was a disappointment today. Go Dawgs!!

Overall, Bobo did OK. But he got too conservative after Georgia scored that TD to open the third quarter. Kirby even alluded to it in his post-game interview, how we had two drives where we just didn't do anything. We had first and goal from the 8 and we just puttered around. Same after Bolden's interception. We should have gone for the jugular and try to go up by 10 points, but we just went conservative. Yes, we had run the ball well early in the 3rd, but when it became apparent that UT had adjusted and was stopping us, we should have tried a few more passes. That said, hard to nitpick after a thrilling game like that one. But I'm sure those are things — along with the play of the secondary — that Kirby will focus heavily on over the next two weeks.

I like the power McCray provides. Hopefully he stays healthy. There are no easy wins in the SEC. UGA stole one that looked all but impossible. Sometimes the football gods give you a lift. @DallasDawg you are right. Bobo went too conservative on those two short fields. UGA had the Vols on the ropes and Bobo's conservative playcalling let them back in it.

Gunner wasn’t perfect by any means but he contributed to putting the 44 points on the board. Also his stats were pretty decent all in all behind a very porous O Line. BUT to tip the cap a smidgen to the O Line they Did stand up when it most counted. Defense didn’t meet their usual elite standards by any means. BUT they to came through when it was most needed.
This team needs Allot of work. But playing in Neyland stadium with 100K plus screaming fans against I must say a very determined Vols team was Most certainly a challenge. Posting a W there is a very good thing.

I’m hoping it will give Gunner and the entire team the success they need to battle through a Very tough schedule. I’ll Always take a W !! Go Dawgs !!

@DallasDawg - Amen. Bobo got way too conservative/predicatable when we went up 24-21 in third quarter. He’s much better when we’re behind.

@navydawg Gunner answered the bell today. At the start of the game it looked liked UGA and Gunner were outclassed. But they kept chopping. Gunner still has work to do, but it's hard to trust a pocket that breaks down 50% of the time.

How many more snaps is Searles going to give to Uini (#52) at RT? Just like in the A-P game, it was the combination of Glover (#63) at RG and Hughley (#55) at RT that got us back on track. So obvious that was the answer today on the right side. How does it take Searles 3+ quarters to see this? I have my issues with Bobo and his conservative play calling streaks, but when the OL (includes TEs) is missing assignments and whiffing regularly in pass pro - mostly on the right side - it doesn't matter what you call. Had Glover and Hughley not been in there together at the end, no way Gunner even gets close to tossing that BEAUTIFUL TD pass to Humphreys. Very happy with the win. Please play Glover and Hughley from the start. They have earned it. Go Dawgs.

Fully agree. Maybe this built his and the whole team’s confidence level for the challenges ahead. Go Dawgs !!

Told you the Dawgs would score 45. Lol.…but, that defense and the right side of the offensive line had me talking to myself. Almost lost another remote control for the season. Lol

The thing is....UGA's only gonna get better….and better....and better. I don't know if the Vols were just THAT good on offense.…or the Dawgs were that ineffective in the first quarter.

It didn't take Shumann & Smart long, to figure it out, though, did it? Lol. That's teamwork! This is a team win, imo. Great job all 'round.

Although....Searels has some work to do on the right side of that o-line. At the left tackle position, especially. Gaston is a force at Guard.…when he's in there and understands the play and his assigment.

The Left side, TE's and Center had a darn good game overall.

IMO...The Right Tackle spot hurt em today. However....I don't know if Greene was fighting hurt....so I won't beat that horse anymore....unless I see it again versus Alabama. Lol

Loves how we ranit down their throats onthat 3rd quarter drive. I thought we had them all tired out but they made adjustments after that drive and almost shut down the run game.

They obviously have a couple of excellent wide receivers but giving up those easy TD passes is not the mark of a really good defense. I had thought going intothe game that we were alright defensively. It was the offense I was concerned about. NOw I have a new worry.

Reckon Bama is going to test our DB's more now then they were thinking? JUst can't allow the other team's QB to go 14-14 to start a game. LOL!
