"Georgia likes to view every opponent as the same, not putting too much emphasis on any one contest."

One of those "sames" that carries over from the UT game is the need to put pressure on the QB. If all that Ty Simpson has to be concerned about is finding an open receiver, that will probably happen more times than we would like to see. On the other hand, if he sees red shirts coming after him 2 seconds after they snap the ball he will go into survival mode where he is less likely to spot the open receiver, be less accurate, be more likely to throw an incompletion/interception, or take a sack; all of which gets our offense back on the field with an opportunity to score.

    GO DAWGS!

How many times has UGA let a top team jump on them for several scores in the first half? Seems to be happening more often now.

Dawgs really need to control this game. They did for spurts of the UT game and it was a beauty to watch. The Dawgs are a very good team and in order to be great they need this win. The team is loaded with the right players in the right positions and the 2 elements that will be difference maker spots are pressure on the QB and protection for Stockton from the right side of the O line. Give him time for the routes and plays to develop and he will be able to use all parts of the field - short and long balls. Likewise, pressure on the QB, especially this one for Bama, will be crucial in order for the DBs not to have to cover for 5 seconds or more. Limit his options and force them into one dimension and Dawgs can control and win this game.

Dawgs are very close right now, just need a bit better execution. Go DAWGS!

Spot frikkin' on. I had not realized until one of the DN articles that all four of UT's "explosive" TDs were when the Dawgs blitzed. Based on what I've seen of Alabama's last two games, if we don't get pressure on Simmons without a blitz, Saturday will be a long, stressful day...

I'm one of those "in Kirby we trust" folks... if he says the D issues are fixable, then they're fixable (barring injuries, of course). I'm just hoping the bye week is enough time and no UGA young bucks let the awesome UT victory become rat poison... I'm guessing CKS will address that!

Somebody is always open when you blitz. Gotta read your keys, be disciplined and beat your man - if you blitz, better get pressure quickly, risk/reward.

Not always the staff, you execute and win - all plays work.
